If Grimsby send him back, half way through the year loan agreement and he is not injured
Surely they are responsible for his wages still

Transfer business is tricky....is anyone we sign now on a permanent deal going to be good enough for the Championship? We have a real chance of going up. With loans we can send them back easily and replace in the squad with a player for either anither go at L1 or the Championship. Last January we signed Leigh and Lapslie and both look disposable...

The flipside is we should be going for it in an attempt to guarantee Championship football.

Like I said, tricky.

The gamble is the temptation isn't it? Look at the teams coming down, Sheff for sure then it could well be Norwich, Blackburn, Derby or Oxford joining at this stage. All will blow the rest of L1 out the water budget wise. Luton will spend and try attract if Wilshere keeps his tippy ball. Huddersfield or Stockport could still be down here, then theres always a surprise or two. MK might have a few quid, Salford too if they both go up. Suddenly there's a boat load of teams who'd have expectations next season without even naming a lot of the chaser currently there.

It's a tough one, i feel like we are going loanes or no trainer transfers rather than pushing the boat out, but you never know when the windows open. Things could change in no time.

Thats true but its a pretty shite division - not alot of quality. Given how good we have done with limited funds - youd think spunking a wad on some proven quality would give us every chance.

 

It depends on what the loan recall/termination agreement is but I can't see us agreeing to loan that allows them to end it without our agreement or without a financial penalty. If we do allow them to end the deal I would imagine we'll get another loan agreed first.

 

Agree....be a very tough L1 next year.

They're just rumours for now, so I'll reserve judgement until they've actually signed. But, the loan rumours today are very underwhelming.

A midfielder who's failed at this level twice already, a full back who on the face of it isn't needed and a striker with three career goals to his name.

I hoped this window we would see some ambition and the realisation that this chance in front of us is absolutely golden with the investment in some proper proven quality. So far it looks to be cheap loan squad fillers.

 

The so called experts on here telling the club who to sign would have kept hold of Jake Young and Kieran Harriet both really setting the world alight at there clubs

The club have got it right on the whole over the last couple compared to the sham it was keep the faith .........lets not forget that it may also the club that may have been caught out with our placing in January

 

This slso should have been a tough year with so many big hitters but we are going along fine

 

No idea why I was thinking Derby! Swear when I looked at the champ table a month or so back they were struggling.

L1 could be a weird pot next season with 6 or 7 teams who could easily double the wage bill of a lot of the rest.

That'll be me. I liked "Kieran Harriet" as a footballer. His dad told me to say that and he's a bit scary.

Joking apart there was a footballer in there, just thick as mince and couldn't separate being a professional footballer from being just another scrote like his obviously selfish mates.

 

Problem is January is notorious for being a sellers market. Targets that are genuinely worth a transfer fee are going to go for inflated numbers. Huddersfield have pumped millions in and its not a guarantee.

 

Probably on my own here but I would keep halliday.......there, I've said it.....
