I think that GA, Sparks, Sharpe and the chief scout are the recruitment team. GA tells them what is required and the type of player he needs. When it comes to money it comes as a sum, rather than it being divided into different parts of the squad. This is a rumour, but it is more likely that GA has been told that if we fork out £1/2 million on a young potential defender it will interfere with his other priorities, and right now we desperately need to concentrate on the forward line.
Personally, I don’t believe GA would say get me him no matter what it costs, and then spits him dummy out. He is very aware of this clubs ability to make progress and how much he has to spend etc., He has made the comment about other clubs spending millions and how frustrating it is. We are also frustrated, but we just can’t go out and spend nilly willy. We don’t want a mountain of debt.

Well it was in my younger days. Men nearly all had longer hair. The stretch over was also a thing with older men.

 

I went from a long haired hippy type to suede head and then full skinhead in the late '60s... then back to a long haired rock lover in the '70s.. my missus curtailed all that before we married in '79 and I became 'normal'.

 

Nah, not the long hair mate, we all had that in our day, just one thing different...........we didn't have women's hair bands and at least looked like a bloke!!

Luton are showing that you can have strikers who've scored before but it doesn't always work out if you can't get them to play together. This is getting very expensive for them to get promotion. They also got Ali Al-Hamadi on loan from Ipswich with an obligation to buy him in the summer for £3mil yet he's only managed 4 minutes in the league due to a few injuries. When they are playing 4231 i don't see how they will keep Wells, Yates and Cole happy, it just feels like if they get in enough strikers one of them will turn good.

 

Don't forget Adebayo, the striker they had in the PL, he will be coming back to fitness next month too it seems. Wilshere has been using Yates as a sub lately, £1m spent on him in the summer.

 

Similar to Wigan it looked like they were happy to rough Pointon and Metcalfe up when they got the chance.
