Alex Gilbey at MK Dons would be a good replacement for Pattison

 

Whatever positions we recruit for, we have to drastically improve the technical quality in this squad.

 

Alexander hoping we'll have one person coming in in the first week of the window.

He's hoping another two will come after that but they may take time.

Loans probably as we havent utilised any aside from McIntyre this season.

Outgoings, he's not had any discussions yet but is ready for some frank conversations when the window opens.

A good source we are looking at a number 10 on loan from Palace and Sam Smith on loan from Wrexham time will tell if these are correct.

 

That would make sense as we have done well with loans from palace so should have a good relationship with them. Smith has made 20 appearances off the bench for Wrexham which isn’t bad going, must at least be in Parkys thoughts. That would be a coup. Would have thought someone like Ryan Hardie would be easier to get on loan from them

 

Sam Smith been going around for a week or so now.

On loan at Derby but not played recently and Palace could be looking at getting him more game time with us.
Not a 10 but much needed midfield cover with better quality than Leigh.

Looks like he was a regular starter at Derby until he got an injury towards the end of November. He also played for them last season on loan. I'm not sure he would drop to L1.

 

Can we dream of Romain Esse? 19, AM/WG.....£15m signing from Millwall that clearly needs to go out on loan to aid his development - more likely Championship though eh!!! Palace trust us though

Sam Smith be a good one, Wrexhams record signing at the time but not working out in the Championship for him.

 

Last season's January window helped change our season, hopefully this one is as successful.

 

Superb L2 player, but has never had the same success at L1 level. And at 31, he aint improving.

 

He has a decent record for Wrexham really, decent in L1 at least. One CH goal on just over 300 mins of football this season but scored 7 at an average of 220 mins last season. Problem with Wrexham is PP rotated everyone up top in L1 and is doing similar in CH so the numbers are never great on paper.

They've signed so many forwards, he was always going to struggle this season. Him, Mullin, Jack Marriott and Jay Rodriguez were all replaced within one window. Moneys great ain't it?

 

Unless Wrexham bring in 1 or 2 other strikers I don't see this Smith move coming off at the moment. Wrexham only have 4 strikers so I don't see them allowing a striker to leave before another one comes in. Also a couple of weeks ago Hardie picked up a knee injury with no timescale on his return, Parky has just said "he's going to face a spell out of action". Then last night Moore picked up a hamstring injury just before half time with Smith coming on to replace him so if Moore is out for a bit that leaves them with Smith and Rodriguez as the only fit strikers.

 

Elliot Lee has been de-registered and fears he has played his last game for the club. Had surgery in November and expected back in January but no squad place for him. He may be 31 but an accomplished L1 player. Spent his career down sarf but is a Durham boy...

 

I'm sure we were linked with him in the summer? Rings a bell at least.

 

Dunno but he would be a coup and a real sign of intent. Id imagine alot of L1 will be ready to make a move though....if he isnt part of Parkys plans moving forward.

 

Replace one injury prone midfielder with another who is just recovering? We need players 100% ready now. It's a No from me
