I'd like to see us bring in what we term a proper number 9, shame that Alexander doesn't see Humphrys as playing out wide because let's be honest that's the position that suits his skilset

Absolutely no need to do that whatsoever.

 

He scored those goals because he was very good earlier in his career. He had pace and power and could strike a football. He’d lost most of that by the time we signed him.

But are you dropping Pointon if Humps moves to the left?

 

Worst finishing in the league seems unfair. You need to look at the type of player he is and that he isn't. He is a quality forward that's improved us.

He may be better out wide, but I dont see all these missed chances, so you can stick your dubious stats !

 

Pointon is not undropable, especially away from home.

 

He'll be well pissed off if he doesn't play judging by his reaction to scoring against them at home.

 

I know it's not exactly the same thing but it reminds me a bit of last season when GA persisted in playing Leigh up front when everyone and his dog could see that he is not a CF. It took him a while then to admit defeat on that one, hopefully it won't be too long until he does the same with Humphrys.

Yeah you're right. I'm sure we'll be fine with Humphrys, Swan and Kav as our options until the end of the season.

 

Because none of Humphrys, Swan or Kav are good enough in that role.
