January 26 transfer rumours

Was going to say - Bobby, Sarcevic, Wright, Sibley, White and possibly Wheatley....do we really need another.

Appreciate a few can be used in other positions but still seems too much.

 

I'd like to see someone for the oft touted plan B.. someone who can receive the ball, back to goal and either turn and shoot or lay it off to runners.

 

Won't be able to play tomorrow if we do sign someone midday deadline isn't it

Wright isnt good enough, id imagine white would play deeper. No out an out cover for sarc if he gets injured

 

Tanto would be a good loan signing, did well at Stockport.

 

Agreed, and it would be stupid to even try to upgrade on Sarc.

You might be able to get a technically better player OR a better athlete, but you won't get both, and you certainly won't get the bags and bags of experience and extremely high footballing intelligence he brings to the table.

He's such a crucial player, every bit as important as Power.

 

Yes it is more than twice the distance but both involve moving which is the point being made. Plus one would involve navigating a fair chunk of the M25.

On the subject of Benn Ward word over here is that 4 clubs will have representatives watching him tomorrow I wonder if we are one of them.

 

Maybe, but also I think we perform our analysis and groundwork early these days and could have watched him on a few occasions. I think we may have a list of targets drawn up early. I wouldn't be surprised for instance that we were talking to Newcastle about future loans at the League Cup game.
If we go back to the summer we got lots of players in whilst many clubs were still dragging their heels.

 

We are very forward thinking so have to agree it would be a surprise if we haven't already done our homework already.
