There was a rumour that he's not as bas as expected and has been doing some light training with Man United U21s again this week. Could be utter nonsense, it was on the City twitter tag a few days back. Looks like Nolan said Wheatley should be out for "a few weeks" back in late December, so he might not be a million miles away.

 

Im npt sure why announcing him now, carrying a wee injury is a problem. We signed Tomkinson who took 2 months to get fit. Callum Johnson took 4 months.

Exactly. That is what I thought when they said he was injured. They go back to their club if injured and then the decision was made he wouldn’t be going back.
