I think Leigh and Cook possibly stay - 1 or 2 injuries and back in the 18. Can see the other 4 going.

Cook will only go if the deal is good for club and player. He wont be forced out.

 

I know Raynor was pushing Alexander for the reason Cook was left out and I sensed he's becoming a bit annoyed that he's constantly questioned about him. The fact we haven't missed him is important, but we have missed that dominant centre forward.

 

Owen Moxon for anyone's taste? Seems like he is on the outs at Stockport. It's an avenue we've used pretty often in the last few windows. Started the season in midfield but has rarely played more than a cameo since mid-Sept, hasn't even been picked for recent squads.

Barnsley fans have turned on Jack Shepherd - 11 goals leaked in last 4 games and apparently struggling in a back 4. Social media awash with unpleasentries.

Out of contract in the summer - but an option of a further year. If his form continues will they trigger it or cash in.

 

Id have him back in heart beat if they want rid, plenty of potential still too

 

I think Cooks future is down to himself. If he has offers in January he has to decide if he wants to be a squad player with us or a starter probably in league two. He won’t be forced out here and I think that’s the case with all the ones who are not getting much game time.
When we were pilling the pressure on the last twenty minutes yesterday I thought this situation was perfect for Cook

 

He's looked trash whenever I've seen Barnsley so far this season. Saw a week or two back he was getting loads of grief on twitter for his fake diving leading to another goal, they are sick of his tactics.

 

I think , one way or another the club can’t be satisfied with his non availability . Some of it extremely unlucky ie appendix/ concussion etc but is Patto a player that overdoes the “ body” building nonsense and weakens other areas of the main footballing bits of the anatomy? Hard to explain what I mean, but how many footballers do we see with Charles Atlas ( one for the old un’s ) physique ?

Alexander said in his interview about Cookie when asked if he’d played his last game:

“we still have one more before Jan”

a bit of a jibe because he’s annoyed by the question? Or a hint? Or literally nothing? We will see.

He shouldn’t be irritated by the question though, fans want to know and it’s the journos job to ask. And I reckon Graham knows that.
