    Correct.
    Absolutely not happening.
Would be the final nail in Sparks’ coffin if they sell him in Jan under his leadership.
Would just prove that it’s all about being a league 2 club with no ambition for anything more.

I've seen Tony McMahon getting heaps of praise at York for the job he's doing in regards to transfers and negotiations. Loved him as a player, could maybe be a good replacement for Gent

    Jamie Walker

He is gone in january isn't he?
A creative player so doesn't really fit the current squad requirement

Nobody worth their salt would even entertain the offer. Let's face it, nobody in L1 who needs the goals are paying out the remaining 18 months plus the amount needed to take him a 34 year old on a worthwhile deal. The teams that can afford that in L1, would be seen as incredibly short minded to spend 6 figures on a guy who'll likely retire in 18 months.

The only way he goes in my book is to a L1 struggler who will pay over the odds to us and him, or a L2 team who will pay over the odds. He's staying here for his deal unless something crazy arrives in Sparks' junk folder.

No. Forget it. Not a chance Cook leaves.

Sparks doesn’t know owt about football but he knows enough to know he’d be signing his own resignation letter if he even thinks about letting Cook go.

He isn’t going anywhere though so it’s all irrelevant.

Scary thing is that should we win the next two games then the powers that be may pull the plug on any transfer deals ............they wanna get away from all these injured players coming back because even when fully fit they aint up to the job

Any deals they may have lined up will still go ahead irrespective of the results against Chesterfield and Barrow.

    My wishes are few
We all know who needs to go from their office jobs or from the pitch.
I would like just 2 in , a young CF, probably non league,2 learn from cook. While he is still here and spending money on a young fit CM to take over from Smallwood and run the team with effort and know how

We all know that nothing will have been lined up or the players would be in as soon as the window was opened ..............we all know what coming in a striker who spent the first half of the season loan at say Fleetwood and got 1 goal in 20 odd games and a so called name that was good last decade but has been injury prone ever since

Hope it includes midfield legs cos we can't rely on Patto. Badly need a striker who can score but if one is available, there will be plenty after him. Both Kav and Smith make great runs and get good positions but hitting the target?

At least 1 of the loan centre half’s will go back.
Personally I’d extended Huntingdon and Evan until the end of the season.
Out Smith NLP perm, Wilson perm to TNS, Oliver likely paid up, Stubbs perm.
Ins decent loan keeper from above for cups and to challenge Walker or actually give Hadi a go! There was a Slovakian u21 on loan from Everton to Farsley last year who was amazing-try for him.
Mobile centre half-pay a reasonable amount of wage for Critchlow anyone?
Dynamic midfielder-likely loan, would love a perm, younger player sub-25.
New striker-perm wouldn’t mind us going this league or non-league, take a gamble on a player on the way up-the Altringham lad seems to have a very good recent record-Linney. 27 so resale potential too. 18 month deal plus a year in our favour.
Some cost in payouts, drop in overall wages. Net spend let’s say £200k, we should have plenty of money in the bank from recent sales of first and youth team players

Anyone heard the rumour about us signing Alex Hunt from York? CM, on a 2.5 year deal by all accounts

OMG an actual transfer rumour. Whatever next! Probably a perfect fit as only 2 goals and 5 yellow cards. Just injuries missing but 2 out of 3 ain't bad

To be honest I don’t know the exact numbers but I’m certain the overall number wasn’t too different
