It's a bit wank when a player says they have signed because of the size of the fan base.

 

Ended up running a mini rebuild this window, 7 at the minute but maybe 8 by the end and 5 first teamers out but 7 out if you add Ibbotsons short term loan and Adams loan officially ending.

 

Stubbs - Wasn't here anyways
Oliver - Wank
Smith - Not good enough
Adams - May as well have never been here
Sandwrson - Didn't suit our style of play

I wouldnt say it was a rebuild. More a clearing of players who realistically get game time, for players who probably will

 

Squad's pretty massive again.

Including the players we've got out on loan, we don't seem to have trimmed down much other than a few home grown youngsters who weren't a factor last season anyway?

I'd have to class that as a failure, frankly.

Parker club think they’ve got enough attacking threat huge mistake. Don’t want to hear one single moan from GA when the weathers blowing a Gail and the pitches are the surface of the moon and we are crying out for someone to hold the ball up.

I think they’ve made a huge mistake and gambled.

It’s infuriating as we all know we’ve not got enough. Christ it’s obvious he’s again had the wool pulled over his eyes with a purple patch like the last 7 games last season.

It’s either incompetence or penny pinching and I suspect it’s somewhere in the middle. Majorly disappointed once Cooky went down that should have been priority one.

 

Ah, haha, so the club have fallen for the "Tommy Leigh is a striker" fallacy rather than acknowledge we went over the top on the attacking midfield area.

I wish we had signed him when Huddersfield let him go as a young lad and I posted his name up on here (or C&B, whatever it was back then), but c’est la vie. His move to Spain fell through and he was slumming it at Morecambe, Swindon and Tranmere thereafter until things properly clicked under Bonner at Cambridge.

we were interested in bringing him in then when everyone thought Cambridge would fall away and cash in but nothing happened with League 1 sides and big spending Wrexham then leading the charge the following summer.

 

Stupidity not to bring a proven striker in , but expect GA to stay tight lipped and trot out the party line about being happy with the forward line and that we have options there.

 

Is tyreik gonna be used as a striker? He was very good off cook in a front two before plymouth signed him.

when the weather an the pitches clear up, we'l be okay. but it's a long way from here till April. there's gonna be games where we need a different type of striker to play. That's a lot of reliance on Mellon an Kav

 

Unless they put Tyriek up top and put the new palace lad at LWB ??

 

My bet is they have been blind sided by the Oilver interest, and probably have missed out on some targets.

GA will not say that though.
