Did you know our lowest attendance was for an official EFL trophy game in 2019 v Man City U21’s , 868 ( I didn’t tbh)
Lowest League 1,279 v Hereford 1981……I was there Div 4 (L2), before that it was V Wrexham in 1966 , 1,353….. It’s highly likely I went to that as well as I only lived 75 yards away then and getting in free for local kids was quite normal V the miriad of holes in VP in those days.!

Where you stood next to me on that old open concrete kop, with your shoes smelling of piss after a trip up to those amazing toilets.
Ah the good old days NOT.

That Hereford game was the last match of the season 1980-81
We beat Liverpool at VP in August, Bobby Campbell 1-0 can still picture the grin on his face.
We also drew with Doncaster at VP on boxing day and Hartlepool away the day after
Could you imagine the outcry now, having to play 2 games in 2 days.

No ….we knew our way into the main stand without spending any “ transfer” money?
We knew which planks of wood to remove and put back. In fact we were the first recyclers ;)

Whats the point in doing anything when the majority are willing to put up with this shit ???
Look at the protests lsst season openly mocked becsuse magically before it happened our silent owner decided to become vocal and the masses yet again fell for it :(

Never known a club this size with a fanbsse that continue to put up with this shit ..............thissesson should it turn out like the other should lead to something happening but nothing will..............seems that midtable mediocrity and a CEO and owner who lie blatantly is good enough for our fanbsse

What do you call something happening
A mass boycott, with the potential loss of income and everything that will follow it, with no guarantee that it will achieve what fans want , a change of ownership
Why don't you start a fighting fund , where fans can donate to a fund to buy the owner out anything left over can go towards buying the stadium and building a new training ground.
Its pie in the sky unless we get another fan on the lines of Mark Lawn, but with more brass and even less sense.
To get shut of Rupp and get the ball rolling towards a better playing staff, you are talking £10million plus add another £6 to 8 for the ground. Gibb holds all the aces, and maybe £2 to 3 for a training ground
    £20+ million
That sort of cash . other than our tinpot council has not been spent on a private project in this city for years

Highly likely Rod but there was no ground separation in those days from memory. You could go where you wanted……. bar the “stand” , but even then it was no barrier to us local “ yoof” ;).

The extra £100 a year since Sparks came in? If so, used to pay off all the managers he sacked, the players he brought in on 2-3 year deals and all the other shite he signed off.

If folk did a mass boycott then he would have to react you saw what he did when it looked like he would lose fans now imagine if it actually hapoened ????
He actually may cut his losses and run rather than having to keep us afloat .................and whats the worse that could happen we go down ????
I know its not worked out in some cases but some clubs have come back a hell of a lot stronger one of them being in PL last season ...................rather go down that route and actually start to look to go forward rather than this stuck going knowhere year upin year

Just like ex players, how many managers who have been sacked by the club go on to get another club promoted? We are absolutely useless at spotting talent whether that be on or off the pitch. That in itself should tell Rupp that his CEO has absolutely no idea what he's doing.

No idea about Hopkin, but Hughes and Adams certainly haven't got a club promoted after being sacked by us.

You do realise none of those managers have gone on to have resounding success elsewhere don't you? Ditto Bowyer and Grayson and altough Stuart has had some success, it's been as a number 2.

That's my point. We can't seem to spot potential on any level, be that players or managers.

I'm assuming we'll open an actual transfer window thread at the end of December and bin this one off?
