Totally agree however no one is answering the fundamental question , what happens on Jan 31 if no further acceptable bids ? He has to play if selected. I would certainly give him a go if fit, and then if he produces he remains in the shop window and gives himself an opportunity to renegotiate his current ( low) wages if he’s wishes to stay. If he doesn’t then what ?

Remind me again, how many goals did McBurnie score for us ?

It would be no shock to me if he's still here, makes himself magically available and carry's on as if nothing has happened.

We're not going to give him stick and suggest he's been faking an injury - we of course will get behind him.

In some respects he's nothing to lose.

I hope not. He's scored 1 this season and just 12 (in 44) last. His record at L1 level during his last one a half seasons is worse than Olivers was.

I think it's a touch unfair calling Wilson AWOL. I thought he had shown real promise, but he's a winger so doesn't fit GAs system. Maybe he can adapt but that puts us back trying to fit round pegs into square holes. Could he make a wing back?

Not really "paying the price" as he wasn't sacked, they mutually parted ways. Two more of the squad are leaving in the next few days, Swindon are selling anyone of worth this week. Not surprised Flynn wanted out.

He is under contract so he owes us the courtesy of being available for selection. I know it’s the norm that players always have the upper hand but it doesn’t make it right

For me it's this new rule whereby you can only play for 2 clubs in a season that is causing the controversy. If it didn't exist I'm sure he would be playing. As it is it might be in the interest of both that he's "injured"

The way Swindon have worded the statement is sounds more like he's jumped before he was pushed, mutual termination is a way for club and manager make it look better but really it's been coming as their form has been awful with only 11 points from the last 15 games.

    No surprise about Flynn.

Their form dropped off a cliff long before the January recalls.

It's not a new rule, it's been around for long time. In 2007 it was changed from a flat maximum of 2 clubs to 2 clubs or 3 if the seasons overlapped.

And yet you make that as a assumption based on you thinking he is faking injury. Which in fairness you have no idea about. None of us know what condition the lad is in, it's pure conjecture on our part, to suggest otherwise is unfair on the part of the lad, either mentally or physically.

It's the same contract he was happy to sign when he arrived, he has scored goals but not for Bradford City we know why that is it's water under the bridge, by all means give him an improved contract if he starts hitting the back of the net, both parties happy.

I thought you was better than that "we'd be doing well if we go £2/3 k" or are there five zero's behind those figures.

True, but my point is if he is being offered £1000 more to go elsewhere (or more to the point being told by his agent he can get £1,000 more), he's not going to stay here and prove himself to us for the same money.

I think if we offer him more we could easily keep him.
