Well if it does happen, that will be one transfer absolutely none of us could see coming. And if any truth in it, makes even more of a mockery of our recruitment process. I have banged on since the summer that Lewis needs firm competition, several of his performances this season have proved that

 

Don't get that. High chance Carlisle get relegated and he's back in league two next season. It's not like he's moving to a big club for a pay rise either.

It better be a good fee considering he's got 6 months plus a year's option.

 

I suppose if it's done, it's a question of what happens with the money? If the price tag in the summer for Lewis and the fee for Young which has been described as "top end L1 or lower end Championship", you're talking in the ballpark of £1m most likely, combined?

Then do we re-invest now? Or wait to the summer when hopefully your Stockports and Wrexhams are out of the spending power in L2. But if say we save the money and replace Lewis and Young with two 19 year olds on loan from the Prem, coast our way to a mid-table finish, does that then knock down season ticket sales and attendances so the money goes on balancing out rather than on the squad?

 

Be a very surpring transfer to me if Lewis ends up at Carlisle.

Not surprised that he is off somewhere though. I said to family at Saturdays game that it looked like Lewis was saying his goodbyes to each home section of the ground.

But Carlisle, surely Harry could do better if he is leaving us. Probably wages offered by new owner tempting him and maybe his good mate Jake Young following him?

 

If we do lose our goalkeeper then I liked what I saw in Crawleys goalkeeper, he looked solid.

 

If this rumour about Lewis happens then I wonder if Alexander will return to previous club MK for Craig MacGillivray.

 

Indictment of how far we’ve fallen wasn’t so long ago Carlisle were in a serious mess and we were picking up Charlie Wyke.

Carlise are irrelevant really they’ll be in league 2 before you now it but I’d bank on them have direction and a plan.

Another blot on a really messy page for Rupp and Sparks. Sure as shit people will still back them all the way.

They just signed a quality forward in Luke Armstrong, so maybe they're loading up with top L2 talent to either stay up or bounce right back.

Good planning.

But they ain't signing Lewis, let's be honest.

 

Making this up myself, but Carlisle were in talks with MK Dons for Craig MacGillivray but the deal was stalling. MK have signed a new keeper themselves, but MacGillivray has lived in the area before when he was at Harrogate. Worked with GA before for a short time too.

 

Be happy with that, always looked decent when I've seen him. Were we not linked to him when he was at Harrogate Railway?

Missing out on promotion last year has set us back years... This could have been the exact opposite situation in terms of a buy out and pilfering Carlisle, but here we are.

Sparks isn't to blame for that, in any way really, but his lack of ability will ensure the pain is extended.

 

He made some very good saves and did everything else a goalkeeper well.

 

Not been convinced by Lewis this season tbh. Wouldn't be too bothered to see him go, if we get a decent fee.

 

Come on, that was just unlucky.

 

He did score tho'

 

Not sure but pieces on the net suggest he could leave MK in this window 2 and 2 you never know nothing surprises me these days with our transfer dealings.
