Well I didn’t, but I didn’t watch him training either. However I do think Young has the potential to be a really good striker. He will need the edges knocking off but if he clicks with his next coach like he did with Flynn he will be able to become the player that I think he is.

Nobody I know doesn’t disagree that potential was there in spades. My biggest gripe , and valid one I believe , is Parky chucked him in far far too early. That decision could have had a real detrimental effect. Hats off to Swansea , it didn’t.

 

I think on the contrary it served him well by giving him an early taste, he wasn’t ready but I am sure it didn’t hamper his career

Has Jack Diamond been suggested now he is available again?

 

I’d have him in a heartbeat. Reading of the case make one wonder why the police got involved in the first place ( Her father as it turns out) . It’s unsurprising the jury took next to no time in their deliberations.

 

Be interesting to see what happens with Diamond. Hasn't played in a while and wasn't having a great spell at Lincoln last season (1 goal and 3 assists in his last 20), although other things must have been on his mind.

I'd imagine every L2 team with the budget and the need for a winger will be interested. But as he hasn't played for so long, will be a while before he's fit again. Given we've moved away from the 2 roles he plays, I can't see us being one.

 

He doesn't have to prove himself here to get himself a move higher up the leagues, a coach just needs to feel he has the potential to back up the goals he has already scored this season. As for going five games without a goal the word coming from Swindon from their supporters was that he was playing with an injury due to their shortage of senior players.
