I get that Dan Kemp is a good player but we already have Walker, Pointon, Chapman and others that can play that role so unless we get an unlikely big cash bid for one of them I think we'd be better off strengthening the weaker areas of the team.

 

I'd keep Osadebe as a squad player and Oliver to mix things up. Otherwise, agree with the rest and throw losing Odusina & possibly Kelly into that.

 

Personally I'd make that his only role in the next window then give him his P45 on 1st february

I got it from the horses mouth (Mark Lawn) back in 2018, that we knew all about Gregory at Halifax (and Vardy) but at the time we didn't have a pot to do you know what in and Halifax wanted £150,000 for Gregory and more for Vardy. In fact he said we didn't even have the £15,000 that Halifax paid for Vardy in 2010.

The timing for that was spot on though

 

Correction. Leslie Hughes signed his old mate as a favour.

 

Fleetwood paid £100.000 for Vardy from what I remember. Put us out the running straight away.

£150,000 for Gregory shouldn’t have been a problem in early 2014 for Gregory as we’d just sold Wells,in fact it would have been good business but Halifax sold him to Millwall instead.

 

I wouldn't recall East if I'm honest. He's doing well after getting a good run so he's best left where he is as I can't see him playing regularly in our midfield anytime soon.

To bring him back and use him as a bit part stop gap would be incredibly harsh on the lad and we'd probably have an unhappy body around the place.

 

Not sure if this BBC mock up is accurate, but they have him playing wide in a 3-4-3.

If that's true, I suppose he'd be competing with Richards?

He's definitely not a wing back so it's another reason not to recall him if he's playing wide left.

 

From the clips I've seen, he's playing CM.

BBC mock ups are rarely accurate, especially at that level. Infact, looking into their squad, i don't think they've gotten a single position correct.
