You can add Armstrong from Harrogate to Carlisle to that list.

Yes due to the incompetence of the last manager we had. Swindon are still a point better off than us. If we had Young scoring for us in the games we've played we may be a little higher. We shouldn't be selling to any of the top 7, unless a ridiculous offer, if we have ambitions of finishing up there.

There will be offers , publically announced is another matter.

I bet we finish higher than Swindon , even without Young. …BBU? . Their defence is a shambles, I have watched them several times.

The problem is for other clubs if he comes back on Jan 1st and plays against Crewe, he isn't going anywhere as he'll have played for 2 teams in the season. Due to the longevity of his contract I can see us doing this on the 1st to prevent those offers coming in. Re Swindon: agreed their defence is shocking, I just wonder if Young hadn't scored all of those goals in the 21 games played and had been given a chance here if both clubs positions had been different. It'll be interesting to see what happens to Swindon if Young and Kemp (another player I can't believe we didn't sign) are both recalled.

Kinsella if I was forced to vote. I’m not so I’ll be refraining.

Seen plenty of stick for McEachran on Twitter - personally I thought Jake Young was the worst player on the pitch.

Just another update fella. Smith and Walker have already superseded your expectations and we are not even at new years day. Pattison has missed half the season but with a 1 in 4 ratio, as long as he stays fit he can be close to double figures before the season is out. Cook looks good to hit the 20s this term IMO.

    Cook 10
    Smith 9
    Walker 6

    Pattison 3
    Gilliead 2
    Platt 2
    Gilliead 2
    Osadebe 2
    Odour 2
    Kelly 1
    Pointon 1
    Wilson 1
    Richards 1
    Tulloch 1
    Oliver 1

He wouldn't have been picked under MH so could never had happened, getting him to play against Crewe would be a good idea even if he has to be pulled if not showing interest in playing for us ..

Are you still looking for reasons to suggest you were right all along and Young is crap and a bad apple? You can always bring up his Barrow spell again if folk continue to ignore you?

They wont be a point better off for long after last weeks news and likely points deduction due to the owner and the finance issues.

Have a look on their forum……it’s liquified and pretty toxic. That’s why I knew a bet was beyond safe:)

If we had Young playing for us and doing what he is doing for Swindon we would probably be pushing top 3 with Hughes as manager.

Even if recalled, he wont be able to play against Crewe as he won't be re-registered in time. I believe the window to recall him starts after 1st jan and is something like 7 to 10 days, so we have to decide quickly.

Decision is already made. GA has pretty much indicated on a few occasions that Young will be returning.

There is absolutely no way on gods green earth that our new manager allows the leagues top scorer to remain at a promotion rival. A) when we have promotion ambitions and B) we are light in numbers up top.

He will be brought back kicking and screaming if we have too.

From the Swindon Trustee report posted last week who had just seen the clubs books

“It was clear to see that the club is currently financially unsustainable with the club's expenses exacerbated by many high costs over the course of a year, including but not limited to player, management and staff salaries, players nutrition, away game travel and accommodation, agent fees, medical care, legal fees for numerous ongoing cases, property and pitch maintenance, technology, energy, retail, online ticketing, security and policing, administrative and medical costs. The club are actively working to reduce these costs where possible, but some are unavoidable and part and parcel of running a professional football club.”

For those dreaming they will buy Young or Kemp……They are struggling to feed the players at training sessions!

Not everything in their garden is growing.

Clearly the novice Yanks need to learn about splashing the cash. Hearing Wrexham have learned and wouldn’t match Armstrong demands. Carlisle apparently the new cash point

According to Flynn Jake Young didn't train last week and played against Barrow despite an injured ankle.

Doubt City will be happy with that if he played with an injured ankle. Are Swindon trying to make it worse out of spite because of the pending recall?

At training today in the extra session after the players who played Saturday had gone off to recover, were the young loanees Cousin Dawson, Youmbi and Wadsworth.
The players we loaned in, Tulloch and Afoka also were involved.
What was noticeable was how many players we have who aren't starting who are classed as senior pros.

    Derbyshire
    Oliver
    Pattison
    Chapman
    Ridehalgh
    Taylor
    Stubbs
    Kmac

    The session was very intense.
Looked like an audition for the transfer window.

I'm sure GA will be delighted to know that our 'leading scorer' is being played with an injured ankle!
Chances are we could be getting a crocked Young back come January!
