January 2024 Transfer Window

I don't suppose WBA will want Tulloch,but they can sell/loan him to a National league side for some time after the EFL window closes.

 

No way is there a worse keeper in league 2 than Lewis was this season

 

Don't think I'll be keeping an eye on this window until the end, pretty uneventful all around.

 

So, This month we have moved on
East, Odusina, Oliver, Osadebe, Lewis, Tulloch, Afoka

Brought back Young, and brought in Walker, Wright, Kavanagh

4 in, 7 out.

Goalkeeper : Lewis last season was fantastic, this season hes been all over the place. I dont see Walker being a fantastic keeper, but I feel he can be a decent one so we haven't downgraded too bad there

Defence : Needed upgrading. Has been left untouched. Poor

Midfield : Same with the defence. Has not been improved. Without Pattison an Walker, we look weak

Attack : Safe to say we look stronger. Oliver, Tulloch, Afoka out. Young, Kavanagh, Wright in. The issue hasnt been our forward options though, its been winning the midfield battle an creating more chances for our forwards

Do I think its been a bad window? No. We have moved on a fair bit of deadwood, an brought in young players with potential. That being said, we could of an should of done much better with the defence an midfield. Its been our achillies heel all season an we haven't even made so much as an attempt to fix it

 

East and Odusina were never really part of the squad that GA saw and wanted trimming though.

 

No but East is completely off the books now so thats a positive.

 

Tulloch has managed to get out of his contract. Hopefully the lad has somewhere lined up.

Now thats a 5hit day - binned off by Bradford City and then getting your contract cancelled.

 

Not in Cooks case. He's been ultra consistent for us in terms of goals but some on here think he's "shite".

It's definitely a strange view of football.

 

It'll give him more breathing space to get fixed up elsewhere I suppose. It must mean that he still feels he can get a league club though.

 

Coming here, he became a victim of a club with no real transfer strategy and a new manager who doesn't play wingers. Good luck in his search for a new club.

 

He's not shite but he has his limitations, hence why hes never made a success above league 2.

It is a good thing for him to have his contract paid up at West Brom if he couldn't get another move sorted today. If he stayed at West Brom then he would be limited to only clubs that have their transfer window opened after today whereas with this he can sign anywhere as he'll be a free agent. It's quite common for players to agree to mutually terminate their contract on deadline day

 

30k a week was the only stumbling block.
