Agree we shouldn't spend any more on new players this window, the season is done. However, has GA alluded to prior to the window we need to offload a few more.

 

Latest Wyke deal has fallen through,
Striker to sign on a perm today, not been given the name this time, will it be announced today or tomoz I’m not sure. And Smith out on loan, talk of Pointon on loan to Halifax but this is nowhere near a done deal , this part is an ongoing discussion

 

I'd bet the striker in will be Ashley Hunter

 

Do you think Pointon’s discussions a reason why he’s not being selected to play? Perhaps uncertainty playing on his mind.

 

Could it be Matt smith from Salford or harry smith reckon it will be a big lad as we are lacking this as cook is no target man

 

Hunter is a winger these days, hasn't played up front since his early Fleetwood run. GA used him as a left winger mainly at his previous slots, although we don't use wingers now so not sure where he'll fit in.

He's also not back to fitness yet either, he had a really bad hamstring tear early in his career and has had hamstring issues ever since. He injured it again in September, got back on grass in November and injured it once again on his first session back. MK Dons say he hadn't yet been cleared to return to training before his release.

I would have thought Smith would be one of Salfords biggest earners.

We’ve got one of those already. He’s called Bobby Pointon. Sadly, doesn’t seem to matter.

 

2nd top scorer in league 2 with 18 goals including a hat-trick last week suggests he is still a force to be reckoned with at this level and is a very good goals return for a target man.

Irrelevant anyhow as we couldn't afford him.

I would definitely take him though if we had a chance

Harry Smith from Sutton was the rumour at the beginning of the transfer window .

 

He played on loan at Motherwell when Alexander was manager.
