I will ask you again then do you think getting rid of Osedebe and Oliver and replacing them with Young and Wright makes the squad better or worse

 

It's just symptomatic of the "RIGHT NOW" attitude that, in fairness, comes from the club and feeds into the fanbase.

We sign a bunch of new players who may or may not hit the ground running and before a ball is even kicked we're all talking about whether the play offs are acceptable or we need to be top 3.

Then we're 16th at Christmas and everyone is laughing at us while our 'poor' players are scoring double figures elsewhere.

But I've told you before that I'm dead against changing managers/playing styles/overhauling squads as often as we do.

He isn't and his statistics tell you that given that everywhere he goes, except at the team that finished bottom of the entire football league, he struggles to hold down a place.

He's an okay player.

He's got 8 league goals this season, and starts most games, which is more than Walker.

His return has been decent this term, no arguments from me there.

I'd still take Walker every day though as I think he'll be much more involved in the the games even when not getting his name on the score sheet.

 

Agree with you. I do think Pattison's injury was a right kick in the guts though. He would have made a difference.

Outside that, if we're playing a wide 2 in a midfield 5, a front 3 or 3 behind Cook, it's all much of a muchness and we haven't seen enough to create enough good quality chances. No forward will score with 100% of their chances so we need to be creating more.

 

One man's rubbish is another man's treasure is probably most appropriate in football.

One team may see a player so much differently. There's so much on whether a player does or doesn't do well at a club, more than just talent and even attitude.

We are a prime example of this with players going on to do well when they leave.

 

Walker's a good player and I'd take him too.

Thing is with Eisa, though, if he ends up with another 12-15 goal haul, he's not just a player that once did well for Scunthorpe, he's beginning to look like a League Two standard player that only failed at Bradford City.

The most he's ever scored in a season is 9 and that includes cup goals.

 

Only because we pick out the select few that do "well" (mostly just ok though) and ignore the other 90% of players that do absolutely nothing so just slip from the mind.
