Agree there is no overall plan or ambition. Just think they are playing this well - admittedly probably being massively influenced by the prospect of £ signs

I think you've been fair, football stirs the emotions like nothing else and I too have a feeling of frustration that this club needs a kick up the backside, unfortunately that's never gonna happen from this owner. Wheres the next big Geoff when you need him......

I'm sure its been said but we need a club statement from Rupp about his commitment, to galvanise the club and supporters in a difficult time, he has a brilliant opportunity and Sparks has lost a lot of credibility, a case of having heard it all before. 'Bradford city won't do mediocrity ' yeah right Sparks.

Let's face it, the chances of c£200k being spent on a couple of players at a good age the squad urgently needs to push for the playoffs are slim, and that's the bit that grates for many, not that Young is being sold.

Thing is season tickets not on sale yet so his pocket won't take a hit at the moment so he probably see's no urgency, he doesn't seem to 'get it' and just what a motivated fan base adds to the chance of success on the field.

I'd still welcome the years after all over again for another 7 year rollercoaster like that one.

Football is about memories and those fleeting moments in time. If you aren't getting those, and we haven't since Parky left, then it's completely pointless and mundane.

I believe the likes of Accrington and Harrogate have had there manager in place for a few seasons, with regards Barrow maybe the lad Wild is a good fit for Barrow. We don't help ourselves but I don't think many were surprised when Hughes went, which might not have been the case if Hughes had stuck with the previous season formation and added a bit more quality where required.

You'd soon hear from Rupp if he found someone making money for themselves re his " club within a club" comment.

He is playing the club, saying, Look at me I’m good.

most clubs won’t want an employee who tries that game

Also let's not forget unlike us, Harrogate have spent wisely, recruiting players of the calibre of Foulds, AOC and Levi Sutton.
@Kevin1954@Kevin1954 will be along in a mo :grinning:

And they're still above us. I'm guessing they get paid a salary? Joking apart good luck to them. Perhaps they're not as bad as some on here thought.

I always liked Levi Sutton personally. Not given enough chances, a few cameos are no good to create a lasting impression

We got a fee for both from Harrogate but less than we should have

Always thought Sutton needed to find what kind of player he was. Didn't seem to be good enough/consistent enough on the ball to play midfield. Had good energy and pace, maybe a wing back in lower league set ups? Doesn't seem to get a start at Harrogate these days.

I think he had more than enough chances though at City, with 95 appearance and 66 of them starts in all comps across 3 seasons. Four different managers in his spells can't help I suppose, but I think he had a fair crack and didn't flatter.
