He’s only worth as much as someone’s willing to pay (Rupp is in the same situation with the club). I’d sell him for 200k yeah. He doesn’t want to be here, and we can use that money on someone who does. We were bigging Lewis up, some saying silly money, and he goes for 175k. I can’t see anyone paying more than 250k for Young in January when there’s loads of out of contract players at the end of the season to be signed.

 

And what if we sell him for 200k and then all this talk of fans boycotting games and not renewing ST’s gets back to Rupp and he holds onto that cash to bridge the deficit. It unlikely all the money we receive in fees will be reinvested into the team.

I don’t think our manager is lying. However, the club I do not trust.

If he lies once and then keeps getting asked the same question (which he inevitably will do) then he has to keep lying.

True, but I bet it’s not far off. Transfermkt have him at 350k. Young valued at 275k.
As you say, we don’t know. There’s not a single listed fee on the BBC transfers page for any player sold/signed this current window. Loans or “undisclosed” only. Which means if we do sell Young, we’ll probably never know how much he went for, or if it was a good or bad deal. Makes Rupp and Ryan’s life a lot easier.

 

Spot on…..All these “ transfer fees” quoted are Twitter gossip , rumour etc etc.
