Call me a happy clapper if you like but wow. Watching that video he looks just what we have been missing. All we have to do now is get our other attacking players playing on the same wavelength. Wonder if it's the MC/ Hudds connection that's got him here.

 

Jack Payne is quality at this level, first signing not to have a question mark against them for me

 

Three year deal would take him to end of June 2019, so seems a strange one to loan him out for last season of his deal. Suppose they could be planning to offer him a new deal at end of season but you would have thought he should have gone to a Championship team to see if he was capable of pushing for a first team place at Huddersfield

 

We have made some very good signings this summer there can not be any grumbles there The question is if Collins can make them into a team

 

If Town can survive another season in the Premier lads like Payne wont be good enough for Town IMO, they will have the finance to buy far better tried and tested players.

Town have option of further year, but still a chance to sign him if it works out.

 

But if they go down he will be out of contract and free to go elsewhere. Just seems strange letting him go to a L1team. Surely better to send him to Championship and see if he is capable just in case they get relegated

 

Very good signing, and one of the few I've seen play so can comment on. Changed the game when he came on for Oxford last season, in a game we should have already been out of sight in. Very direct and attacking midfielder, unlike a Billy Clarke or McCarten you know exactly what he is, and plays the role well. Two more strikers of this calibre and we'd be laughing.

 

AJP says Town have option of further year, yes if he's can show he can hack it at Championship level that would also increase his transfer value.

They recalled him from Oxford in January then sent him out to Blackburn for the rest of the season. If he does really well with us, could there be a danger of them recalling him again and possibly sending him out to a championship club second half of the season?

 

Doyle and chedwyn would do very nicely

 

He can also play in a defensive midfield role.
