    Dean Richards, Darren Moore, Eddie Youds, Peter Jackson, David Weatherall, Joe Cooke would all equally walk into this current squad and make it much stronger at the back.

    I don't think the poster was actually being racist at all but guilty of basic stereotyping.

    Stereotype meaning: a widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person or thing.

    Racist meaning: prejudiced against or antagonistic towards a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized

    I can't believe how Ullyses comment has spawned a debate to be honest. He really meant no harm by it. I suppose if someone is easily offended then they will find offence in anything.

    Having black players traditionally adds more character to the team which transcends into the stands. Just look at Donovan Ricketts, Mark Marshall, Bruno at CB etc

    Also, they’re naturally, genetically more athletic which is why the vast majority of world class sprinters are black, as one example.

    I’d be all for a black centre back and a black pacey winger. You can probably bet your ass they’ll be better than what we currently have anyway!

    Surely skin colour is just a description? As long as it's not said in a derogatory or negative way I think it's fine.

    A person is more likely to refer to a black man's skin colour in football as that is what differentiates that person the most in a predominantly white sport. Like the skinny woman at a weight watchers meeting, the ginger lifeguard at the beach, the bald man at the barbers or the short bloke in the basketball team.
