Some things got changed during the jan transfer window;
Went outside of the City "Gent" north-east mafia and better recruitment followed
Tayo knew of this club from Scott Banks
Romoney kept in touch with some of his old team mates and couldn't wait to get back
Lapslie didn't need to think twice about making the trek north
GA tweaked the team's playing style, now more on the front front chasing/harassing which got the players on board and the fans

I'll say this though;
Not in any rush to send Khela/Tayo/Lapslie/Mellon and Jaimie Walker to the bench yet
Even if City had a near fully fit squad to choose from
They have earnt their starts

 

Has any other club at our level, suffered such a horrible injury list.
Its gone on all season and not just 1 or 2 out, but 6 or 7 at a time.

 

Appendix operation recovery time is around 2 weeks.
Not sure is being a footballer, if than time extends, which it can do if in a physical job.

 

2-3 min for a sedentary job, 6 weeks min for a manual worker…

 

Thankfully, recruitment and those in charge of the budget, forecasted this.

We do have a sizeable squad and that showed last night, coping with 7/8 regulars out. Tell ya what though, a real headache for GA if everybody was fit!

 

Christ almighty. As far as injuries go, if we fell into a barrel of tits, we'd still come out sucking our thumb!

 

Hopefully they’ll be back for the crunch games in April.

A pro footballer will really struggle to get back to training in six. We will be lucky to see him again this term perhaps KK?

 

I think Darius should do an end of season performance at VIP, to celebrate promotion hopefully. No admission fee for the long suffering fans.

 

If there is a secondary infection yes it can take time. If the appendix has burst there is more likely hood of that. A fit young footballer shouldn’t be out for 6 weeks.

 

Without a doubt this is a major blow and while it has been negated by some decent cover players over the course of a few games Pattison and Sarcevic are going to be sorely missed

 

A bit short on numbers in central midfield now. Only Smallwood and Khela as options in the middle 2?

Sarc and Pattison are basically out for the season. Can’t see them being back and capable of playing 90 minutes before the end of the season.

 

Sarcevic could be back fairly soon if it is only minor. Not sure how long it takes for recovery from having appendix out for super fit guy

 

Nah, @DariusSyrossian is already booked in at UNVRS at the same time...

 

I’m certain that Walker, Khela, Lapslie and Pointon can deliver what’s needed.

 

Obviously a big blow but less worried than I would have been before last nights performance.
Relatively confident the boys can keep the streak going

Takes a bit of the joy out of last night. Came away thinking what strength in depth we have, with the lads hopefully out for a couple of games.
Any more injuries to that midfield and we will be back to Odour.
