No I don’t buy a season any more , 30 odd years of em is enough even living in Stortford for 10 of those years. I’m not treading water at my age over a 7 hour round trip drive on a Saturday or Tuesday night , 159 mile each way or 9 hours on trains. No thank you . That does not preclude me having an opinion based on watching a game on Sky or through a VPN whilst in Norway or do we now have to own a season ticket before commenting on any subject?

Let’s be clear it changes nothing . I make no absolutely no secret of where I live that’s my choice.

Has the same question been asked of other exiles who post an opinion ? ….Maybe have a meaningless poll to see if owning a season ticket whether attending or not , is a requirement for posting on this forum?

Genuine question Shoatsy, do you truly have faith in Rupp? Can you honestly say you think he will deliver on his promise (made in 2018)?
As an aside, I think your passion and optimism for the club are great, even if I don't share that optimism myself. Hope you had a good Christmas.

What the happy clappers are wanting is for thousands of us to pull out it to go badly wrong and then they can blame folk who are not turning up for the mess we are in :(

The fact is that before Rupp and co turned up we where a solid club that was on the brink of smashing into the championship with 19k season ticket holders all United all happy with what was going on

To now a club with i would gather 15k season ticket holders stuck in the lower level of the proffesional game with maybe a slight chance of going up with a fanbase at each others throats and somehow a few folk not attending next season have caused this :)

Honestly give me there blinkered world anyday Rupp and co have destroyed yars of hard work even you lot cannot be blind to it.

40 year old season ticket holderswalking away but hey lets blame it on everyone rather than the person that has brenat the heart of this downfall

The man will blame anyone rather than blame a guy that has overseen this mess............ushing for promotion to the Championship against the likes of SheffUtd and Bolton to this getting all giddy because we are 3 points of the playoffs in the poorest league in years

I had a great Christmas thanks, hope yours was wonderful.

I truly believe Rupp has backed us? I think he probably needs to get a new CEO to run the club.
Am I confident? I'm optimistic, I go into every season thinking we'll get promoted.
Whatever happens I'll still be buying a ticket! Lesgue 2, league 1, national league north.
Don't really care who the owner is, i support Bradford city.
It would be great to have an exciting owner who bank rolls us up the pyramid i just hope the season ticket price never prices me and my young family out.

Wasn't questioning your right for an opinion-so wind your neck in a bit and chill out.

Do you believe the club can continue to deliver sub standard fare and expect people to keep buying into the rhetoric. That's the definition of madness.

To be honest the definition of madness is to to follow any football team other than the top few clubs in the country

I agree in a way, if Rupp got rid of Sparks and installed someone capable of running the club properly, I think we would be in a much, much better position, I just don't see that happening. I used to be very optimistic about our future, but with Sparks at the helm, any success will be pure luck.

Why even pose the question to me specifically in the first place Adrian and then not expect a reply/ reaction….. That’s not how life works, not mine anyway, never has done, so hence my reply.
If you believe it’s only season ticket holders who can form an opinion , for good or bad, just say so, because that’s how your question in the first instance comes across, intended or not.

Don’t forget there’s other exiles and indeed forum members reading this who don’t buy season tickets or even attend for that matter for multiple reasons , some not even capable for reasons we know not of as they wish to keep it private. They, I respect just as much as any season ticket holder, which means nothing to me other than cheap tickets and convenience. That’s why I purchased them in the first instance and of course getting first dibs on cup and away tickets of course. A non debate in my book and certainly doesn’t preclude opinion.

Mate the club doesn't give a shit about you as you don't contribute towards it despite your long history of support. As long as you hold the club at arms length sadly you have no/little influence on it whatsoever.

What advice can you give ST holders right now on how they can influence the future of the club?

To be totally honest, I have seen little/no evidence Rupp has actually backed the club! Happy to have lots of tangible evidence to the contrary

‘Fans’ count for nothing other than a distant emotional link!! Supporters, those who actually actively commit to the club are the ones who should have the voice.

We have over 15,000 actual supporters, those who are mere fans are just that.

Paying for a ticket and actually attending, outweighs any notional, often historical ‘fan’ link, but no actual real tangible current commitment to City.

What’s does “actively commit” to the club mean?
    What’s the break down?

Giving them their money. Whether that be via ST's, individual tickets, membership, merchandise, etc.

The club cares not for the fan, but for the fan's financial input.

I think that would make a great banner that could be unfurled when we know he's coming to the game.

The man cannot see that he has caused more damage than any kind of protest he is happy to simply roll up pay his money while being lied to

    Put it like this hypothetically.

If I speculatively or otherwise, for the sake of debate, put my house up for sale for £1m , could anyone force me to sell it for half the price?

You know the answer ….. Just like Rupp, remaining hypothetically , I don’t need the money and don’t have to sell, if he/I was in financial difficulties he would. The point everyone is missing is………

    He ISN’T in such difficulties.

Net “worth” said to be in the region of £100m . “ He’d like to sell” is the polar opposite of “ He HAS to sell”. A gigantic difference, let’s agree on that.?

Which is a shame because he has the funds but that’s how rich people behave unless they use somebody else’s money, launder or borrow and leverage against a business , in this instance , our football club. Some may think that’s desirable, whereas I certainly don’t.

Just look at the cost cutting measures in play at Manchester United, a once “great” club , imho taken over by parasitical speculators. Not something I’d like to see, albeit on a much smaller scale, with my club.

Absolutely nothing and nobody will change that opinion, no matter how much they protest, figuratively speaking.

Thats true, its not ideal.......but they now play in a 32,000 seater stadium and are a team that hover around the Championship play offs.

A bit of short term pain eh....
