As we often say RT, whilst he thinks Sparks is doing a great job in protecting his ( Rupps) wallet , we are stuck!

Everyone is sick of it but we are a league 2 club with £500k stadium rent, not a money making championship team
It will only take one season of poor ST sales which could end up in relegation
Then the club would go bust
Crippling the club financially is a bad idea and from so called fans

You do make me laugh Kev. When you agree with someone, facts don't seem to matter to you but when you disagree, you never stop with the 'where's your EVIDENCE????!!!!!'

If thats what Sparks remit is (and i suspect it is) then he's doing the job asked of him. Rupp has benefitted from something very rarely seen in football, that despite the poor product served up and even two price rises season ticket number have stayed at hard to justify numbers. It really does go against the grain and i've no real explanation as to why. I'll be honest its a positive in that the club has grown a support base that sticks with them with the caveat that Rupp can relax somewhat knowing his bank balance won't be compromised.

And I think this is where most people will agree that in order for Rupp to get his money back, the club needs to be in league 1 at least.
It seems unlikely he’ll pump more money in so he really is hoping for a lucky season.

Pretty much spot on. I think the problem with that and for any team going up this season is that unlike last season where the three well backed automatically promoted sides are doing very well this season in the league above, any teams promoted this season will probably come straight back down. No surprise the least backed promoted club Crawley are in the relegation zone.
For this club to move forward in the future, and be aiming at championship football we desperately need new owners. Even if, as you rightly allude to, Rupp gets lucky, the odds are we'd just come straight back down.

I see I have woken up the usual suspects , odd they go quiet after a win ?

Evidence for , what is the question , a larger crowd than normal perhaps? Did you believe there were more bums on seats than the last 4 home games or not ? Many say there were , perhaps the usual suspects didn’t go after all ? All 29 of them that had other engagements on Boxing Day , like the most plausible … family time over football .If one wants to stick to meaningless polls, you go for it .

What are you on about now? Where have I said anything about crowd sizes or polls about the boxing day attendance? Oh, that's right, nowhere.
And for what it's worth, I really enjoyed the game on Thursday but one swallow doesn't make a summer so I won't be going overboard with the plaudits until I see EVIDENCE this team can produce performances like that on a consistent basis.

While you were there did you meet any of the 1300 Stoke fans who apparently attended?

And you know for a FACT that would happen ?????

Did it happen and Blackpool,Charlton and Reading all 3 clubs went down that route and shock horror they survived it.
We ainttalking a Bury or a MaccTown here we are talking about a club with the potential to tap into 20k season ticket holders and there are plentry out there who would be willing to take us on ................if Rupp actually lowered his over the oddsprice

    Well….probably yes
Blackpool had back to back relegation to league 2, but they had the benefit of still being in the league to recover from that
    We wouldn’t

Same with Reading and Charlton, who also have divisions grace
We would end up none league with no potential buyers with half a million quid to stump up before a ball is kicked
    No 18k fans then
    Big gamble pal

Kev there were no where near 18K at the game. Nearly the whole row behind me of ST holders was empty. As were many more around. For a Boxing day clash with a local rival I would have expected many more. I read somewhere that there were 2000 POTD fans-take that and 1300 Vale fans off the actual attendance and I would say we were down to 10K City ST holders in attendance. That's 3500 not bothering to turn up. That could easily be the same numbers at ST renewal time. Rupp is no longer to be believed, whatever he says we know isn't true. THAT letter saved this seasons ST sales but there are many, including me, who aren't buying the absolute BS being served on and off the pitch.

Rupp has drained this club of ambition and is rapidly bringing it to its knees. Action is needed by the fans to bring the club back from the abyss it is heading to.

Regarding playing at VP if we were in the NL. The pension fund has two options as I would imagine the rental agreement only counts while we are in the EFL or is there a clause in it for the NL? 1. Reduce the rent to an affordable figure.2 Sell VP -can't think of any other option.

The club is broken and needs fixing and fast. 7 years of decline is my yardstick to these thoughts.

I did not remotely suggest there was Aide, check out every single post of mine.
I said there were more bums on seats than in recent games, that’s a huge difference.

They have to report total ticket sales to include seasons, and any home and away single purchase tickets valid on the day. EFL rules . Whether there were 18k there on there day is for the birds to suggest?

    Therein lies the conundrum!

Whatever we think about Rupp’s lack of tangible leadership, then there is no obvious successor/purchaser out there.

We are stuck with him and he is stuck with us, like it or not.

There is no way he will recoup the £7.7 million, which is the cost, given inflation as he apparently paid £5.5 million in 2016. I read that he had an asking price of £10 million in 2019 (so currently over £12.3 million given subsequent inflation)!!!!

Basically Rupp is living in cloud cuckoo land if he thinks the club is worth that sum, given the fall of Bradford City under his ownership.

However much we think he is a negligent and absentee owner, who has bought something on a whim, without really thinking through the consequences, then with no alternative genuine purchaser, we are struck with him!

Rather foolishly he owns a club playing a sport which he has little/no interest in, located in a foreign country.

From my perspective there is no easy answer. Staying away and ‘starving’ the club, may eventually lead to relegation/administration which I think would see it fold.

Staying away/giving up your season ticket, is relatively passive, takes little/no effort. It isn’t heroic and in military terms would be viewed as……….

Far better would be to protest. Any activity would have to be lawful, otherwise the club could label those involved in negative terms and rather than winning public support, could alienate many.

The thought of flying a plane over his home region and the factory which produces Fischer seats (Muller-Armack-Str. 4, D-84034 Landshut) is far more appealing, likely to generate interest in the German media, and as it at ‘home’ may make Rupp take notice.

There could be 10 ppl in the ground
    They’d still give over 16k
The only people who need to know the true attendance is the ground safety officers

irrelevant what is posted on scoreboard but if you were in your armchair, how could you possibly contest this anyway
