Looks like Crawley are selling Watters to Cardiff so can't see him being involved tomorrow. Although they slapped leeds without him so it might not be much of an advantage.

I'm hoping we find a way to get this on. 3 weeks without a game will be very disruptive to fitness and will completely erode any sense of confidence from the mini run we were on. If the snow is cleared and its simply a matter of cold temperatures, hopefully the covers and milder weather due on Saturday morning will see us right. Or maybe we can hire a set of air blowers? (we've got plenty on here!!)

Maybe all the over 80's who have had one vaccine jab in Bradford to help out.

Turns milder tonight. I think there's still a chance it'll be on, as long as any snow in the morning isn't heavy.

Pitch covers generally protect against frost/freezing up to -4, I believe.

Covers were -5c unless it's changed recently.

GAME OFF. Unsafe areas outside ground - Club just tweeted.

very frustrated considering no fans are attending!

FFS. I get that Crawley have a long way to travel, but the main roads are fine and temperatures set to be milder tomorrow. I have a feeling that this will be regretted as tomorrow plays out.

Makes you question whether Scunthorpe really wanted the game on last week....

Exactly, its a piss poor excuse that. The pitch is fine so the game should be going ahead.

In circumstances like this, with no fans attending, why not just postpone by 24 hours and play Sunday instead?

    Absolutely.

And why haven't we been using the Tuesdays we've had free these past three or whatever weeks?

Football is allowing itself to fall foul of bureaucratic BS - as it usually does - but we're in a unique situation, and the EFL are showing real ineptitude to not cut away the red tape and get games rescheduled quicker.

I'm not saying Saturday to Sunday, but Saturday to Tuesday or Saturday to the following Tuesday - come on, I know sports where athletes are given a few days notice. If you're a professional competitor, be prepared to compete.

The explanation, 'But, with Valley Parade and Burlington Street outside the stadium particularly hazardous - and more adverse weather forecast - the EFL has made the decision to postpone the fixture'.

I could see this if there was going to be a crowd, but surely they could use grit from the car park at the back of the Kop to enter the ground and walk on the section where there is no moisture and hence Ice?

The forecast for Bradford from 1.00pm is 5 dgrees celsius, and dry, which means ice will thaw. Prior to that it is 4 degrees with rain forecast, again which will help thaw the surrounding area.

Seems strange, when they usually go the extra mile to get a game on.

Upon inspecting the surface, Madley said: "The efforts of the ground staff have been superb and, from a playing perspective, there is no issue whatsoever

So where's the bloody sense in postponing then especially where clubs are getting so far behind in their fixture schedule..........

Not good this it has killed all the momentum we had built up. So far we have+managed COVID pretty well and now we are losing games to the weather
