The club have panicked about the overnight snow weather forecast which to date hasn’t materialised. They didn’t want Crawley travelling and then having to pay for their accommodation if the game was off. Had we been playing someone more local today the pitch is fine, there is not another fall of snow and we would have been playing.

Perhaps we just don’t want to play them after what they did to L666ds. Much better to play them after they’ve been beaten at home by Grimsby. The snow was just a convenient cover.

The BBC weather forecast just shown on TV has temperatures of around 9 degrees at kick off, rain will have passed through during the morning leaving a bright day. Completely bizarre decision to cancel the game. All that hard work and potential damage to the pitch for nothing.

Oh well, let’s hope a game can be rearranged for Tuesday or we’ll start to lose match fitness and increase the risk of muscular injuries again.

Surely it was the covers that were a convenient cover. And we'd have gotten away with it too if it wasn't for those pesky side roads.

I fancied a home win today. I think it would have been "after the Lord Mayor's show" for Crawley and a good time to play them.

Look on the bright side. We get a few more players through the door and avaible for selection ahead of our next game.

In an hour and a half on from when that photo was taken, even more will have melted. That would still be 3 hours before the kick off. The stadium staff etc could then be in place.

If the officials, press, teams and management arrived between 1.15-1.45, when even more would have thawed then it seems crazy that the access for the restricted number of people, could not have occurred!

I don't think it snowed overnight here in Keighley-just rained. So the forecast was well wide of the mark.

Ryan Sparks has clarified what happened:

"A referee came to VP at 1.30pm yesterday and raised concerns about outside areas. With Crawley travelling, a decision needed to be made and, around 4.00pm, we received a call from the EFL who postponed the game. At that point, nothing more could have been done."

lad travels during a pandemic when instruction is not to make any unnecessary journeys unless for food, medical appointments or work to take some photos to put on his social media for a match that has already been postponed just to try and make a point.

    idiot.

Which would have had easy access today wether for the football club or the residents living nearby. In a time where fixture congestion is becoming even tighter the EFL have made a bad call on the back of time , money and effort from the club being wasted. I guess it depends what weather app they checked, i didn't envisage any more snow before todays game from the apps i follow.

You seem very angry and flustered, maybe a football forum isn't for you?

but this could not be guaranteed yesterday - that's the whole point.. like someone has already said; if we'd have been playing Scunthorpe or Oldham, the decision wouldn't have been needed to be made until this morning. the fact that Crawley are having to travel as far as they are obviously played a part.

not really. just don't see what the lad is trying to prove.. there are worse things going on than having to spend a Saturday afternoon not watching the football.
