That was superb football. They are no mugs either!

 

Not bad at all. Stevenage do look like they could be dangerous though, so we need to keep our heads.
Our attack is looking so much better than of late. Over recent years we have only had one style of attack and we got worked out quickly and oppositions shut us out too easily. I don’t feel like that will happen with this team. We are attacking from so many different positions and with different styles that goals can come from anywhere.
It’s really encouraging to see.

 

What a half of football that was!

Vernam has very much justified his start with an excellent performance. He and Ridehalgh have linked up well with the formers delivery into the box been decent. Gilliead and Cooke also been very good.

Cook - how good is it to see a City no. 9 with the ability to finish. His 3rd was absolutely class whilst the CB pulled his shirt back showed great persistence.

To be fair to Angol, I think he’s also had a good game despite the penalty miss (credit to keeper it was a decent save) and he and Cook looking good together up front so far.

We need to be careful though. List up top for them looks really dangerous and is absolutely lightening quick - we need to be very cautious of been hit on the counter.
