On this one I agree with Fordy, Sparks and Rupp have to make a decision quickly if they think T&S are the guys to get us up automatically next season - and nothing less than this should be tolerated or in our thought process. If they do then T&S have the summer to build the team that can deliver this, but if there are serious doubts they should not be given the transfer window and pre-season only to then leave in October and yet another manager will be scrambling around next January to assemble his own team

 

Wouldn't be at all surprised if BC & CD get offered another year

 

Can't find any reference to it anywhere, but looking at the table and doing my maths, Scunthorpe don't appear to be technically safe. Admittedly they are in reality, and would need Southend to win with a 8+ goals difference over the next two games, and Scunthorpe to score none.

But.........does give Scunthorpe a slight motivation above City.

 

One change up front... brilliant. Oh and Clarke back on the bench. Poor Burrell, hope he's gone back to his club. Complete waste of a loan.

Sorry really couldn't disagree with you more on this Simon. Southend have had 44 games so far this season to help themselves, besides, who is to say Barrow havent rested some today against Southend?

So, if it was us in that position, same, tough, it would have been down to ourselves to play our way out of trouble over the course of the season
