I dont think any manager , could get a decent showing from this squad or players. No where near enough attacking quality .
No threat at set pieces, too many players taking the easy option of side ways or backward pass. No one making runs beyond the defence or able to play that pass to put them in and when we do get down the flanks, wingers and fullbacks , who's crosses are 99% awfull.
Thank god so many players are out of contract and we have that chance to re-build. I would hate to have the summer thinking that the majority of these guys will be here next season . These last few games, not one of the out of contract players , has looked like they are playing for a new deal.

 

Ok... stop bloody showing off now...

 

Lee Turnbull better cancel any holiday thoughts. He is in for a 25 hour a day busy Summer if we're going to replace the dozen or more players who should be saying their goodbyes.

 

Didnt watch today. First home game of the season I've missed apart from Colchester when I couldnt get Ifollow to work. Add 20 plus away matches to that and it says everything about how poor we have been since Bolton. T&S have to stand aside quickly if we are to progress.

 

Lets face it they came for a point. 11 Behind the ball for most of the game. We did not have enough to break them down.

Evans and Wood get the ball and then pass back. We need players with more of an attacking mind.

No, we need managers with a more attacking mind who have the ability to set us up to attack. The players are only doing what they are coached/ told to do. That said, they are a poor bunch and most should be given their P45 next Saturdya at around 4.55.

 

We need a manager with more of an attacking mind too.

He is going to be one busy fellow, unless he has already identified the player and agreed deals with them, since the transfer window closed. Fat chance , this is Bradford city . Half a dozen players will be signed the week before the new season starts and will then take two months to get to know each other.

 

Just watching Chelsea v Fulham and Fulham are playing just like us. The patterns are almost identical. And Chelsea just sit back, cover all the possible outlets and then, when it inevitably breaks down, they're off attacking at pace and threatening everywhere. And where are Fulham in the league?

 

I thought that was terrible for most of the match with some sprinkles of OK play. If we can't beat that Scunthorpe team Im sorry we won't get anywhere near primotion. We seem to be going through Anthony O'connor as though he is some sort of Pirlo type player who can get us going. He has his strengths defensively but going forward he slows the play down and invites pressure looks backwards far too much. The pattern of play is so predictable its ridiculous and we are devoid of any tempo to our play. Evans at the minute looks shot he's been very poor heads down all the time and his body language screams there's something wrong. There needs to be another big recruitment drive in the summer.

 

Well, at least the season's nearly over but that was dire yet again. The question is, are the players clueless or are the management? Or are they both? I suspect the latter, but only one more tortuous game to get through and we can all have a rest for a while and see what pans out over the summer. I know I need one.

 

If only we could be anywhere near as good as Fulham! We are League Two garbage at the mo.

 

Ain't it awful that once again we're all just looking forward to the end of a season yet again so the suffering can at least come to a halt for a couple of months. We'll end up in 15/16th place and rightly so. This is what it is. We're currently a mediocre to poor fourth division side. This is Bradford City.

 

Players for me we've too many who are average players at this level and the managers (several of them in our case) always get the blame. I'd rather see us take a chance on players and fail than stick with an average squad who we know what to expect from. Many just aren't capable of performing consistently at this level to see us push on to the top of the table.

 

The conversation could have been , buck your idea's up or watch out for the door on your way out.
I personally think they will still be here come August, lets hope we finally get a better quality squad for them to choose from, rather than the dross Rhodes and Mcall assembled last summer.

I think I need to make an end of season resolution to take a break from all things City for a few months and get some sanity back. It will go well until I see a T&A headline in the street saying, 'Sparks backs Trueman and Sellars for new season' or 'O'Donnell reappointed as captain for new season' or' Clarke, Evans and Donaldson can't wait for new campaign to begin' and it will all start up again. Is there no escape?

 

It's the sheer inconsistency of most of our squad that has hurt us this season. Apart from Callum Cooke most of the time, Cook, Hornby, Sutton, Paudie some of the time, we've been poor. Beyond that, other players only turn up for patches of matches and bloody infuriate.

 

And apologies! Didn't mention Clayton Donaldson - he's put in amazing professional performances for us of late.Love that guy - a real pro.
