Yep, agree with that. Another force of nature.

I can't understand how Rowe spent so long at AFC Fylde, scoring all those goals and didn't get snapped up. Maybe he had a good job and was getting decent money playing footy semi pro.
Even if he's got an attitude problem you would think someone would have taken a chance on him. It's not just his shooting ability, he switches feet very well in tight situations. Probably the best we've had at that since Robbie Blake (apart from Carbone).

Kamara once said about Dean Windass on Skysports. Off the pitch he's not the sharpest knife in the drawer but on it there aren't many cleverer. Rowe does look similar, you do expect something to happen when he gets the ball.

Probably the same reason as Ross Hannah and Jake Speight? Both excellent none league records, but couldn’t make the step up to League Two.

I think there's an argument that Hornby's distribution and in particular his kicking seems better. O'Donnell's kicks seemed to drift straight out and with not much distance.

Haven't seen enough of him communicating/commanding his area to give an opinion on that.

Danny Rowe certainly is an exciting signing and our attacking threat went up several gears when he replaced Cook on Tuesday.

The only thing I didn't like was that he committed several unnecessary fouls towards the end which gave Morecombe easy opportunities to launch the ball into our box when we were hanging onto our lead at the end. I hope Trueman & Sellars have a word with him about that.

I agree he gives away a lot of unneccesary fouls but at the same time it's piss funny watching him just push the defender over every time they try and block off his runs

Just watched the sights on sounds video City shared, watching Danny Rowe absolutely smash NKP twice was bloody satisfying.

    Love that bloke

This is a good article about Rowe - and I've read that Fylde were really disappointed and surprised when he said he wanted to move to Oldham.

I think they felt he was going to stay there until retirement, given how happy he was.

Still, it's clear Rowe wanted to play at a higher level and probably sooner, so there are certainly a question mark or two around why it never happened sooner. Possibly nobody felt confident enough to part with a fee?

What might be good news for us is Rowe doesn't have the same number of athletic miles on the clock as other 32 year olds. I wonder if he can do a Deano and play into his late thirties?

I think he probably could, he's not one to rely on great pace and instead uses his football brain and skill to create the spaces.
