And I was one of them and they've proved they can do it against a very impressive Morecambe side who lined up the same as us.
That was a really tough game and a fantastic result. I thought it was a tight game. Both teams played well. We looked good on the ball. Vernham MOTM but Evans and Rowe deserve honourable mentions.
The two goals towards the Kop were identical in that neither was intended. And it was really an og for our first

 

A big feather in the cap for T&S tonight. Coming from behind against Morecambe isn't easy and whatever they said/did at HT led to a very good second half performance

 

Great result against a team going for a top 7 place.
Only bit thats frustrating for me is Andy Cook hasn't hit his stride yet, i would love to see Cook up front with Rowe playing off him but dont expect the manager to change the 4-2-3-1 when its got him a job!

 

I see no reason to change the 4-2-3-1. We are consistently getting results, so leave it as it

 

Big win and a good performance. To say this is the first time Rowe has played with the likes of Vernam and Crankshaw, there were some really promising signs - we might be onto something good there.

Morecambe were a predictable Derek Adams side, thank god we didn't pursue him any further.

 

Watching that Oldham debacle, could you believe City could put in a defensive display like that? Canavan a cool head to balance Paudie. AOC really grew into game. Great passing going forward and some direct running at pace. You can’t possibly be failed to be impressed with T &S.

I think the play-offs are going to require a Herculean effort and a significant reduction in form from those currently occupying those places. I'm not that bothered, because I think the squad is still very much a work in progress that could struggle in League One if they did pull off a miracle and do it this year.

I'm just thankful for the upturn in performances, results and league position. Not having to look at that table in absolute terror and contemplate the unthinkable feels like a huge weight has been lifted.

Given that Morecambe lined up exactly the same as us and just like us in recent weeks, like to soak up pressure and counter on the break I'd say Derek Adams would in all probability have adopted exactly the same formation and tactics T&S have used.
The only difference is he has longer in the role and that's why they were 7th going into this game and they got a win Exeter and we didn't.
Only fine margins got us the win tonight against a very good team.

Thought bearing in mind the lack of games and bedding in new players the performance was very good and should get better with more games, Optimism at last.

T&S took over a side who were leaking goals left, right and centre and plummeting to the national league. The tactics they put in place were initially dull and ugly but totally necessary. Better form and better players in the building and we're emerging as a side who is capable of taking the game to the opposition. Morecambe are playing like they're fighting off relegation out of choice because that's Adams' philosophy. As well as making them whiney bastards it must be said. Very good team? We'll have to agree to disagree with that one. A side who just launch it long hoping for a set piece or Gomes to do something is not very good in my eyes. Look very much like a bowyer team to me. The fact they're 7th is more an indication of how poor this league is rather than how good a side they are.
