Just listened to an interview with Trueman and he said it's very difficult to turn the players mental attitude around when its been drilled into them to play a certain way, even intimating he wanted them to play higher up the pitch, he believed at times against Oldham they did not believe in themselves and were lacking confidence, I think that's been posted on here many times more so recently.

 

You have had a shocker here if you think Songo'o is one of the worst defenders we have had. He's kept us in games a few times with his unorthodox defending. Each to their own when it comes to opinions, but you are being ridiculous with that comment.

 

Until we keep losing and end up closer to the bottom than the top with hardly any central defenders yet having umpteen forwards that never play.

 

Maybe play... 4 4 2 for a couple of games, instead of cook on his own might help change there mindset. If that really is the case we have a bunch of useless unintelligent players who can't think for themselves.

He's dreadful lol genuinely think he's one of the very worst defenders I can remember. I don't make a fuss because he's clearly only pretending to be a defender on account of playing for a club that can't recruit properly.

In midfield he's mediocre rather than awful.

Not sure that's fair mate if you have a manager thats drilling you at training to play a certain way it would take a brave bunch to ignore his formation and do their own thing, I'm sure I saw a headline that he would play Elliott with Cook.
