What a joy to watch City without Threlkeld and Gilliead.

 

Got to agree with Morais. Vernam (and in previous matches in combo with Ridehalgh) have been our best offensive threat.

Good performance so far best in a while, hopefully we can sustain it second half.

Have to say it does sound like they're playing well.

Fingers crossed they start the second half well

 

Good half. Very comfortable and in control for the whole half.

If there's a criticism though, we're a bit too heavy on the foreplay and not spending enough time doing the business.

We need to be a little more direct when it comes to crosses and shots when we get into good areas.

Good half though.

And while he's not had much to do, Bass positional play to sweep up behind the back 4 looks very good.

 

Pleased with that first half. Team looks a better attacking threat with Gillead replaced by Vernham. We've had a few similar games where we've not taken a chance. I hope it's not like the Walsall home match where we took the lead and then sat in. Get the second, kill the game!

 

That was a great header to beat the keeper at his near post.

 

Really good half from everyone. Can't fault anyone this half. Hopefully we can get a second goal quickly. The dropping of Gilliead and injury to Threlkeld have done the trick. Both wings carry a threat for the first time in a while.
