Beags was comfortable crossing a ball with either foot though. He took penalties with his right, because it was his more accurate side, but told me he was just as happy playing on the left and was confident going to the byline and crossing first time. Like you, I'm not a fan of wingers playing on their "wrong"side.

Way way down my list. Loved his skill but in terms of wingers he's not even top three behind Hutchins, megga & Arthur Graham. Beats had all the skill but I just love a flying winger.

 

I went and returned the Queensbury route mate apparently the Halifax Road route had road works I was told, as you say a cracking morning sat in the Piece Hall, the Halifax council have their Town center beautiful from the old indoor market to the precinct and of course Piece Hall, credit to them.

Have to agree although the above mentioned were very good when they pulled on the Claret & Amber Beags did it consistently in the Championship and the Premiership, for me IMO it has to be Beags.

Watching Beags was worth the admission money alone. His ball control and skill was a class above.

Nope, different players, different eras. Based on the best player it's beags, but I'm talking favourite not best. Massive difference which is why Joe Cooke is my all time fave.
