    No disrespect to Collins, but surely after 6 weeks of searching, they are not about to take a punt on a young coach who has 1 year experience of coaching our under 18's, are they?
    Come on Jackah, you reckon you are in the know, this lad was born In Halifax, thought we were about to appoint someone from a non English background!!

    I know nothing has been announced but it is worrying that our under 18s coach is favourite to take the job. This sounds disrespectful to Collins but I was feeling quite positive with the signings we've made until I read this. This would be one hell of a gamble for a chairman who is barely clinging onto some of the public support he has. If, and I'd say it's a big if, it is Collins I hope he has thick skin because I doubt a poor run will be met with much patience.

    Michael Collins is 32 years old. He played 173 games for Huddersfield and currently plays for Halifax.

    When I last checked this afternoon (posted a but earlier) Ferguson and Wolf we equal faves as 2/1. No mention of Collins. Same on Odds checker although Ferguson had shortened from 5/2 to 2/1. Collins was only named on sky bet. The others - Ladbrokes, William Hill, Coral didn't have a book on us.
