Match Thread Hartlepool United (A) 15 March 2022

I watched the game on I player and cannot remember them controlling the game apart from the few minutes before we scored. He didn't mention the worst miss of the game(Andy's left is for standing on)

 

Went to St James' Park a couple of times BEFORE it was redeveloped and we were advised not to go in certain pubs, of course we ignored this advise but didn't have any trouble. I remember a big obese (fat) Newcastle fan in a figure hugging shirt laughing when we mentioned what we'd been told and saying if the likes of L***s United or anyone else came up there looking for trouble that they would accommodate them but wouldn't start anything with ordinary football fans.

 

Rose and Crown was okay back in the late 70/80s, decent pint.

 

In some ways you hope that might happen because it means we will be doing well, that has always been the case in football and it ain't going to change. Lets just enjoy what MH is doing and hope it continues for some time to come - what will be will be down the line but if we have success you never know Hughes'y might get a taste for the Bradford curries (a bit more than Korma boy Adams did!)

No that would have been a Darlo fans teeth that scratched your DM a bit of a naughty night, taking the teams off so they could accomadate the City fans in the correct end I still believe that 20 minutes cost Darlington as they were one up I believe and looking for the second, we came back out and 1-2-3 all over now baby blue .

I didn't see any assaults take place, just lots of arguing amongst our yoof. But I did see someone being dragged out in front of me by the stewards. I wondered if that was in connection to a flare that went off beforehand but it seems it was worse than that from the sound of it.

 

I hope and trust any 'fan' found guilty of these charges are banned from Valley Parade and elsewhere for a very long time.

We don't need minority thugs like these tarnishing our, generally speaking, good name

I think you were sat just to the left of me.
The two kids arguing were sat immediately to the left of me (i was on the end of the first block, they were on the end of block 2).
The same two kids (including one who was about 6ft 4 with a mullet) were lobbing the flares, how they weren’t spotted I do not know.
Like you, I could just see a melee of bodies at the front, and couldn’t even see the person being taken out as he was surrounded by so many police.
