All I could see was a massive relegation battle if Adams had stayed.

 

Foulds was being criticised a couple of weeks ago because of a very tough game against one of the best players in the league and yet for the big majority of time he has done very well. I would like both left backs signed up for next season. On that subject what has happened to Ridehalgh he was supposed to have been rested because of concussion but that was weeks ago

 

That football match was class all over it. Determination, calmness, great passing, it was just brilliant to watch. Well done Mark Hughes, I don’t know how you have done this, but I am so pleased you are here with us.

Some of our fans have to get real. If Sutton could control every ball he would be playing at a higher level. If Watt could make every pass, he would be playing at a higher level. Lower your expectations, just like your misses had to

 

Just couldn’t see it , Scunthorpe and Oldham are awful and probably worse than us under Adams. Poor sods.

 

Concussion protocol keeps being mentioned. Need full rest away from football. Hope he's ok.

I completely disagree. how on earth do you think we'll get to a higher level if players don't improve things like that?

 

I like ridehalgh but i can't see how he'll get back in the team at the moment.

Well his new gaffer was certainly waxing lyrical about the lad tonight.

 

So far, so good under Hughes.

We are beating tin pot teams like FGR and Hartlepool like we really should have been doing all along. These are sides we should have been drawing in the cup, as opposition further up the football pyramid; instead we've had to endure misery after bloody misery.

Two swallows doesn't make a Summer, but I'm very impressed so far.

Organisation levels are far higher than under Adams, the style of play is way better, confidence levels also really high - and Hughes has only had four games in charge.

It seemed unrealistic to just assume Hughes would turn us round, or get this lot playing and winning, and we all know form is temporary... but from what I'm seeing, Hughes really is justifying the 'big manager' tag in quite a significant way.

We'll be favourites for next season if this keeps up, and not just because our fan base is big for once.

 

Good performance and another great result, I said fans would need to be patient with this style of play at half time. I imagine we’ll tire teams out the better we get at holding onto the ball and him them in the second half.

First time in god knows how long I’ve been desperate for Saturday to come around for the football.

And all the waffle about how formations don't work is now being proven just that, as the diamond looks absolutely mint.

There isn't one correct formation and there isn't one correct style of play, it's about balance, and somehow Hughes has found it.
