Bradford End wasn’t that bad but the change between the past 40 years is probably similar.

most stadium have changed massively in that time

You can't compete with teams willing to lose huge sums of money and the EFL happy to allow them to do so. The most important thing when going up is to stick to your game plan, Richmond went full retard and it cost him dearly. When your only income is from TV rights, sponsorship and fans coming through the gate youneed to rinse the latter two for every penny you can get. Manchester United and Liverpool are two examples, albeit successful, of where the affordable prices used to be have pretty much gone. A ticket to both these clubs used to reasonable even during successful periods but not any more. Easy when you have demand outstripping supply though, we will never have that luxury.
So for the foreseeable future the £149 tickets will be a staple diet at Valley Parade.

If no crowds are allowed, its where you can get the best deal i suppose.

Just a thought, you may know far better than me, but if the first games are televised and with no crowd, then couldn’t they have played the games at Station View? Rent the ground from the Railway, put some rent money into them? May also unsettle some of the visiting teams and give them an advantage.

I guess they could play an EFL team in the FA cup, what happens then? They have played Bristol and Mansfield at home in the past.

But if no one is allowed to go to the stadium, then it would only be the pitch. Good enough for the FA cup with league sides on two occasions. What would happen if the Railway got through again? Would they be banned from playing at home. I seriously doubt it. It would be a small windfall for the Railway, less travel time for the team (I guess they will go together on a coach) and as I say could unsettle some opposition.

The FA and EFL have different ground regulations. The most obvious been able to play on 4G pitches. But it also goes into stadiums. If the FA had the same regulations as the EFL for grounds then the majority of non league teams would be able to take part, and it’d kill the FA cup off for good.

    It won't unsettle anyone.
They wouldn't share with railway anyway and I doubt railway would want them.
Neither would the carehome next to their pitch .

Its not gonna happen, they wanted to play at donny and will.
Wonder if we'd hire park avenues pitch ?

It will be interesting to see what sort of pitch Harrogate end up with. They laid the 4g pitch because they were having serious problems with the drainage on their old grass pitch. Now they have to lay a new grass pitch,I wonder if they will sort out the drains.
