I'm not being funny, but we should pants these, right?

I'm not saying they're a bad side or anything, they've started extremely well, but I'm putting stock into the fact the second they ran into a 'name' club they lost - and Bolton were probably on the poorest form out of anyone, but still their players are those that Harrogate could not attract.

I'm sure they'll give us a good game, but I remain happy with my 4-1 pick in the prediction league.

I could easily be miles off, because I'd have made similar comments about Accrington in the past, and look where they are now - but no. We should be capable of battering these. We should be approaching this game as if we're the big brother looking to teach his little kid brother a lessonl.

 

I'm pretty sure we were all thinking we'd batter them the last time we played them and look how that turned out.

I would go with this: -

ROD

Hoshanna - Staunton - AOC - Wood

French - Watt - Suttton- Clarke

Evans - Novak (Evans just behind)

I don’t dislike cooke, but we need a ball winner In The middle so Sutton shaves it, allowing watt to advance.

 

They were all over Bolton in 2nd half and couldn't score. They are an in your face team who work very hard which may get to some of ours who want time on the ball. But a win plus 3 Grimsby points once the EFL wake up will do us nicely.

 

Losing to these would be a new low.

 

Good for them. They sound well run and well coached. But frankly, the idea that we’re even playing Harrogate Town in a League game, let alone nervous about the idea, should have everyone accountable for running this football club hanging their head in shame.

 

Think if i remember right Callum Wilson tore us a new one that day and we were lucky to get a point?

 

I think we should give more credit to Harrogate. Yes it’s disappointing that we are now back in Div 2 but let’s not overlook the great strides Harrogate have made in the last few years. A well run club , a manager they have stuck with and a successful playing style - what’s not to admire.

 

Do you not remember a pre season match?

 

Not really. Pre-season friendlies are a different entity to League games.

 

I'd admire any club that's well run, to a plan and properly invested. All the things we're not. Fair play to Harrogate. But there are 2 sides to this and its our regression that I'm criticizing. Never in a million years should we be playing the likes of Harrogate and Barrow in League games.

 

That maybe so but that 7-2 result I'm sure their supporters would have been reminding us at every opportunity if we were allowed to attend.
