    I was ok with seeing him go as the price was reasonable, he was getting quite a bit of social media stick and the missed chance at Wembley probably sealed his fate.
    Agree that we haven’t signed better though.

    That seemed to be the general consensus as far as I recall. Good player on his day, but not often enough.

    Yep he was in a cycle of get injured, take 10 games to get going after his injury, have one or 2 good games then get injured again.

    True but he won the ball at the edge of the area gave it to Marshall ran the length of the pitch to get a shot in.. trouble is he hit at a perfect height for the keeper who made a good save

    He missed a very simple goal scoring opportunity which any striker with a bit of bottle would have buried. Had he scored it, it would have turned that game, and possibly City's fortunes on it's head. He is paid a wage to put the ball in the back of the net. Now you will tell me he never was an out and out striker. :)

    He was more than a striker he played deep and linked play well yes he missed a lot but he offered a lot as well.
    As for the chance yes it was pivotal but the keeper made a good save and it was good effort to get on the end of it. To blame him for the defeat masks the real reason

    I'm not blaming him for the defeat, I'm blaming him for missing a straight forward chance which could and probably would have changed the game.

    McArdle missed a free header in the 2nd half too. He wasn't the only one to mess up that day
