    TNT bid more for the rights than BBC or ITV could, both of them would also struggle massively to have the amount of games shown live that TNT have been able to.
    When football is very reliant on TV money for revenue it will always be the case that the likes of Sky & TNT win the rights as free-to-air channels can't compete. DZAN will be big over the next few years and Paramount have got the Champions League rights so I'd expect them to try for Premier League and domestic rights soon.
