There’s a long way to go yet, but young enough to realise Twitter is for true believers of absolutely anything they read on social media.

    Mark Trueman still tagging along.
No director of football or an ex pro or manager within the recruitment team.
Ryan Sparks I will put money on it is always trying to get his opinions across to the playing side of things.
    A poor home pitch.
Players GA doesn't want but are tied to the club on long contracts.
But as many have already said, he will have known this before joining, although we all do things where we look back in hindsight.

I forgot Trueman was still here until they mentioned him on the radio a few home games back. They said since GA came in, Trueman spends the games sat with the data analytics team.

I saw Trueman last week in the new-ish Costa down by Victoria Mills. Don't know if he'd just had a big training session or is beefing up, but he looked like he'd been hitting the weights, his shoulders were testing the stitching on that Macron training gear!

I got to page 5 and couldn't be arsed reading an argument so skipped away to the end to add a point regarding injuries.

Obviously the quality of training etc counts, but surely playing three times on a heavy pitch can't be helping the players? I know it plays ok, but it must be harder to run on and there's surely more chance of an injury? I'm no expert but it seems like common sense.

People will blame anyone when it's not going well. Like blaming Trueman.... which is pathetic really.

    Who is blaming him??
Just pointing out another of the old guard still here not really contributing much when we could use the money elsewhere

    Our league position says otherwise.

There is literally no one in the club that is any good - the place stinks and is rotten from the inside out.
A full root and branch clear out is needed, including leaches like Trueman, who only has a role as its cheaper than paying him off.

We're in very real danger of all this becoming a self fulfilling prophecy, if we're not there already. Literally any manager can now come in and if it doesn't go well can claim its all down to some unspecified, unresolveable, behind the scenes issue.

And the players aren't daft, they'll know that too, our club must be among the easiest in the world to arrive at and down tools, and who can blame them. The entire culture of the club seems more rotten then the state of Denmark and has been for years.

A very good point and yet another reason why doing nothing is not an option.

No, but along with Rupp, he is the constant element that has been here in our downfall. Move him on, pay him out, and let GA replace him with someone qualified in his position.

Everything will be fine once we get shot of Trueman.

Just like it was fine after we got rid of Martin Drury, who was the previous problem according to some people.

Not scapegoating him, never criticised him. Just pointing out a fact. Move him on, he's in league with the curse of the Holy Well.
