It's more a case of a clueless wonder being put into the top seat at VP without a clue about what they are doing regarding the comparision.

Oh dear now we've become a fan base that accuses fellow fans of being the reason behind our demise, for either renewing or not renewing which is a complete none sense, you will not get the 14,000 who renewed last season to just stop renewing, it would never be as dramatic as that.
Maybe its time for those who organised the last protest to organise another outside the ground, some believed that protest worked as it got Rupp to promised more involvement from himself and more financial input, as yet I'm not sure we've seen either, his money would certainly be very welcome, but I'm not sure what he'd offered with regards making us more successful on the pitch or what he could offer to the likes of Gent, Sharpe, Sparks or Longo.
He can't be classed as not knowing how to become a successful businessman as he wouldn't have amassed the fortune he has, but with regards his venture into owning OUR football club he has been a failure, I don't think anyone could say otherwise.

Now I get the frustration with regards our lack lustre start to the season but come on guys some of the names being put forward if Alexander was to get the sack are no better that we've had in the past, seriously Adams Hopkin and Hughes had better CVs even Bowyer got Blackpool promoted under Oyston.
I wish I knew the answer but bringing a fresh manager in is a lottery as we know, not just from our own poor appointments over the years but the vast majority of football clubs appointments don't bring their clubs success which I'd base on getting their clubs into at least a play off spot come the end of the season.

No, not whilst this club goes to rack and ruin under the current leadership. That's why action is needed to ensure we still have a club. Not a bunch of happy clappers watching Non League - because that's the way it's currently going. That may not be this season but it's getting increasingly likely in the short term the way things are

I don't think we'll go down, especially with only 2 relegation places, but it's very likely we'll just do a Rochdale and sit in League Two for an entire generation or two.

Carlisle have signed Barrow's Sporting Director.

Looks a good move, but AFTER they paid for a new gaffer? Odd.

Agree Dave there's absolutely no point in bringing in yet another manager until the men leading the club are gone
it would be like building on quicksand before a new manager is even considered Mr Rupp needs to realise he either invests as promised or cuts his loses and sells he isn't interested in us as a club just a play thing he hopes one day without much commitment/effort will turn him a profit, if he was he would realise just where the short comings are he only has to read this forum for opinions on that
What will happen (and something will) is in the lap of the gods its anyone's guess
The dwindling fan base deserves better and will return without doubt
Sadly unless things change we will be a L2 mainstay for the foreseeable

I can't see an end to this situation mate, if the rumours are correct with regards Rupp's asking price (he's said he's had inquires) he won't get any takers, we'll continue to be a lower league two club even with cheap season tickets we'll see a reduction in uptake but as stated that wont happen over night.
It's been done to death why were not a realistic punt for a new investor given the right owner I'm sure many fans would be more than happy to pay more as long as they see its a two way thing, as we're given to believe the club is run on a sustainable basis imagine what someone who was interested in taking us forward could offer.
The owners of the likes of Stockport, Wrexham, Notts County and possibly throw the Chesterfield owners into the debate were very astute getting in at the bottom but once in they have backed the club and the management (yes Wrexham are a little unique with the pull and financial clout of their owners) but that still doesn't guarantee bringing success but I'd suggest it gives you a better chance.
Even sat at Morecambe seeing us snatch a point we really didn't deserve didn't make me in the slightest any more positive for Monday nights game although all being well I'll be in attendance.

Only one answer Dave a root and branch clear out. !!
How that happens is the big question
Some myself included believe with holding financial support (in not buying season tickets merchandise etc) may hasten the process who knows whether thats right or wrong
I don't believe many on here wouldn't return and also pay more for a season ticket should the situation change
As you say in the right hands and a bit of careful investment we could fly up the leagues we never had the ground or support in the 60s and 70s to progress much. we have now it was a pipedream in those days
TBH I turned the Morecambe game off at half time, feel for the fans that were there Morecambe on a wet and windy Tuesday night isn't for the faint hearted

Talking about Centre Back injuries, to see this fella pop up in non league is baffling.

I don’t think Rupp ever saw as City as a ‘play thing’, rather he was convinced by Rahic and his bank that it was a decent ‘investment’, the fact that it has fallen in value, will mean he is highly unlikely to sell at a figure (taking inflation into account), which is less than he paid for it.

That's some fall from grace, I'd have taken him for his pace alone at the back.

Ironically the weather over here has been very good for this time of year, Tuesday night was very mild and no rain.
    Today it's beautiful.

Not baffling really. If there were no serious takers during the window, his only option of getting some game time between now and January is to go out to non league.

    You could be right
I don't rate his financial advisers or bank manager then, thought everyone knew owning a football club in L2 is a money pit

It's funny Rod, but rightly or wrongly I have always thought the opposite. I think to Rupp owning City was a rich boys toy. Something none of his mates had.
