I am not part of the green movement, but I do believe we all need to take more responsibility for how we use the earths resources. It seems to me that using hydro power, windmills, solar power, and heat from the earth is far more sensible when we know that the fossil fuel we have been using is harming the earths atmosphere. I do not believe that ppl should be impoverished either, I think collective responsibility from the government down needs to be acknowledged and plans put in place. This is an investment in our future on this planet.

Please don’t get me started on the rubbish we literally throw into the ocean without a thought for the animals and marine life we kill off.

That's great stuff. It's heartening to hear that even during the recent bad days for the club when every penny counted, City were not abdicating their moral responsibilities and doing their bit for future generations.

I'd like to know your level of expertise in this area, at least to have an understanding of what you are saying. At what level have you studied climate change and the possible effects it may have on planet earth? Have you had any published peer reviewed papers? If so can you list them.
    Thanks.

Do the same people that jump on the green bandwagon have to have studied climate change, or have been published?
Just interested... as it seems easy to jump on one side of an argument without appropriate knowledge, but not acceptable to be on the other side with just as little knowledge?

Bizarre comment. I completely fail to see what that has to do with global warming. Care to explain?

They don't have to, they've got the vast majority of the science on their side. The science of climate change is far too complex for your average person to understand and I certainly include myself in that group. As such I simply go with the considered scientific opinion, which overwhelmingly states that global warming is a result of human activity. I don't see the logic of going against it given what science has done for the advancement of humanity. It's not perfect but it's a whole lot better than believing in fairies and witch doctors.
