Fc United of Manchester pre season friendly

Jack Hunt is a very good player who has had a good career. Not sure what happened last season at Bristol Rovers where he seemed to be out of favour for the second half of season?

 

How did Tilt look? Who was captain?

 

Sounds like his whole time at Bristol Rovers was a bit of a mess and had a very up and down time at the club.

• He didn't want to move down South but was convinced to by Joey Barton who allowed him time in the schedule to go back home.
• Matt Taylor came in and didn't allow that time, he had an injury in summer 2023 so was catching up then ended up playing a lot at the end of 23/24
• The club was taken over by Kuwaiti owner ahead of 24/25 and they brought in 16 new players
• He was told to leave but an offer didn't materialise, when an offer came in from a Northern club BR wouldn't let him leave and he was told to train on his own
• There was interest in January but nothing happened
• He then started 13 of their last 19 games

In a nutshell, promises made , promises not fulfilled . Aka, sh@t on ? Decent managers don’t do that .

 

Well the big questions for me are; did @Hulmebantam find a bike rack and was his bike still there after the game?

 

Sarcevic looked to be captain in the first half from the picture Simon Parker put on his blog.

 

I've seen comments on twitter singing the praises of quite a few of the new signings, Tilt being one of them.

 

The reason we played FC United today was because they kindly let us use their 4G pitch last season before a game in the North West when our training pitch was frozen.

 

Tilt was better than Kelly.
Won attacking headers from corners as well.
Loves a battle.

 

Both Neufville and Hunt were a lot better than Halliday today.

 

Wasn't impressed with Power.
Looked miles better with Patto in the middle.
Tommy Leigh imo had a better game than Power.
Spraying the ball around lovely.

 

Apart from the goal, not for me.
Hunt on the other hand!!

I didn't go in the end after all my fuss. Day got off to a slow start after a night on the ales.

 

As much as Hunt has got good credentials we don’t need anymore defenders. We the two loan forwards that have been promised

Solid in the air won a few tackles but got turned 2 or 3 times quite easily
