I would imagine it will be like Chorley last season two different teams each half with a couple of youngsters playing

Hi Elleb, if you go to the club shop just to the right of the main reception doors and show your receipt for the programme, they'll be able to hand one over for you.

The programme is available online too where there's also an option to either get it posted out to you or to collect from the shop on the day of the gam

Hi. Where is the best place to park?

Tried getting a car park ticket online but it wouldn't let me add (presume all spaces gone).

You could drive to Derker (free car park) and get the tram down to Newton Heath & Moston:thumbup:
Would have done that myself but we are away.

Earlier this week, a really decent number of away tickets had been sold so far so thank you for that - it helps with planning for the day.

Tickets continue to be available online, even right up to kick off but pay on the gate is still available for anyone who doesn't want to buy a ticket online and wants to pay cash/card - or make a last minute decision to come.

    https://app.fanbaseclub.com/Fan/Tickets/SelectType?fixtureId=11818

Gates open from 1pm and we've had confirmation that we've got a local unsigned band on which will be under the SMRE terrace (big one behind the goal) where the usual food and drinks will be available (including a real ale bar for those who like a good pint).

As rules are different at our level too, you'll be able to drink all during the game too if you want to. The bars also remain open after the game - at least for an hour.

In terms of travel, you can get direct train from Bradford Interchange to Manchester Victoria. A taxi up to the ground is about £8-£9 from there. You can get the tram from Victoria to the Newton Heath and Moston and it's about a 10-15 minute walk from there. Train wise you can also change at Rochdale and then head to Moston station - again about a 10-15 walk from there.

Car parking (£5) is likely fully booked now but if you ring our office tomorrow - 0161 769 2005, they'll be able to advise on any availablity. Alternatively there's free street parking on Lightbowne Road which is next to the ground but that also fills up so i'd suggest getting early if you want a spot close by. You might end up further down the road if a little later but will still be a short walk.

More on all the travel options on this link here - https://fc-utd.co.uk/travel/hub

Just to add again, if you fancy hospitality, it’s £45 including admission (discount for concessions, juniors, etc.) with a decent two-course meal overlooking the pitch, sitting with fellow fans (no real dress code – just wear what you’d normally wear to the match, away colours welcome). It’s down to earth, Northern hospitality, designed with fans in mind.

    • Main: Hot honey glazed gammon, buttered new potatoes and cauliflower cheese
    • Dessert: Chef’s Dessert of the Day

Safe trip over, see you Saturday.

I've been told that we've now sold over 500 away tickets for the game on Saturday so it should be a good decent crowd. Many more will still buy tickets beforehand or will pay on the gate (cash and card accepted).

It's going to be a good opportunity for you to see all of your new signings for the first time. I'm guessing you'll play two teams - one for each half, in the same way you did at Chorley last year.

For those that have bought tickets or are planning on coming, we look forward to welcoming you. Come and have a drink and a chat with us. Sing and get behind your team. Enjoy yourself.

    See you Saturday!!

We've got bike racks at the ground where you can chain your bike to - it's near the front entrance/club shop. A steward will help guide you if you can't find them. We've had both push bikes and motorbikes chained to them in the past

Average was around 1700 but towards the end of last season we had a few games where it was about 2300-2400. We got that for the last game of the season against Guiseley.

if you guys bring 1000 that would be great. A lot of the time we only usually get 50-100 supporters - Macclesfield brought about 400-500 last year and when we get a good away crowd we love it - it adds to a bit of atmosphere - will be even better for this one too as there's no segregation in place so everyone can mix. I think we'll probably have about 600-700 of our own supporters there too, possibly more as it's our first game back.

All in all, hopefully will just be a good day out for everyone. FOOTBALL IS BACK!!!! :)
