Not for me. He elected to come and being 6ft 7 and the advantage of using his hands you'd expect any reasonable keeper to make that punch.

 

If you make the conscious decision to come out of your goal to punch the ball, you surely take into account all the bodies there. They didn't appear when he got there, he could see the situation and made a poor error in judgement. If Pickford does that tomorrow and costs England the match, he'll be driven out of the country. Can't believe anyone would try say it wasn't a complete goalkeeping error, I'm sure Walker would be the first to admit he had a shocker.

 

I've been to so many away grounds with my daughter over the years.
Norwich, Ipswich, Gillingham, Southampton, QPR, Arsenal, Chelsea, Carlisle, Man U, Man C, and more all notable because we lost every one. Lol
There were some great wins tho'

 

Walker comes out to punch and a battering ram of half a dozen players from both sides come steaming in from the opposite side. Even then there’s a second ball to deal with that sarcevic doesn’t look remotely interested in if we’re going to be that picky

Look we all know the Walker bashing society is in full swing and they’re going to jump on every mistake the guy makes until someone else is between the sticks.

We played a pre-season friendly. We won 6-1. Walker might have made a mistake. Other players made mistakes. Lots of them. Get over it.

 

You seem upset? Are we only allowed to discuss the positive aspects of football and just close our eyes and pretend there's absolutely nothing we can improve upon?

I mean, it's a nice idea and all that but please don't ever switch the news on or go outside.

 

What are you going on about? God, some are easily offended at perfectly legitimate criticism. I hope you don't listen to managers like Tuchel and Alexander demanding high standards from players and not being happy with poor mistakes, you'll have a breakdown.

I'd have thought my comment was fair especially as Alexander has openly said brought McCracken in as competition to Walker.

 

I think you're bang on. McCracken isn't here to sit on the bench, and Walker knows his playing career is coming to an end. I'm pretty sure he just finished a degree in something and is already setting up his future life

 

Time will tell we know Walker is steady away but this is a new situation for him at Bradford City, not that I believe any player doesn't perform to his best because he knows the back up is not really up to the task.
