I suppose my point was that it depends when the buy back could be triggered, rather than the amount. The amount would still be negotiable but wouldn’t have to be at the end of the lease. I wouldn’t expect the price to be in the contract, because the valuation could be good or bad for either party depending on the environmental and financial circumstances at any time.

If any potential buyer has the financial clout to support us in the Championship, then buying the ground back should be chicken feed to them. Less than one year's losses in the Championship

Take what this guy says with a pinch of salt but it's interesting nonetheless...

    Cheers for the share.

Kirklees council dropped their draws for him and in doing so have put into doubt the clubs future. Their should have been some due controlling clauses in there re football being safeguarded (and maybe there is) but comes across as the council chasing its balance sheet and to be hell with the diligence and long term. Flog it to the shiny yank.

The retail development was the clear goal for this chancer even before watching this. Yet the dog botherers didnt care. A man acting like its the early 00s when that revenue and model is under extreme pressure given the appalling state of disposable income and a big shift in retail channel to online.

Not to beat down on Hudders but who the hell thinks that location will be viable and offer a return in this climate?

Smacks of opportunism and seems to replicate the scatter gun investment in the club as a whole. Terrible marketing (compare to city social media for eg) and awful recruitment....money wasted that will absolutely come back to haunt them.

No such thing as a free lunch.

Far too many of these club owners are in it for what they might be able to get out of it
Yes football is a business like all sports team, but ultimately it is far more than that to the constants around the club and that’s its fans
The hope here is that the new government football regulator brings its back down to a more responsible way of clubs being run
I won’t hold my breath though
