Sees his profile as a striker. Not on the left. Need the opportunity to grow and develop into it. He also said if Humps plays on the left what does that mean for Bobby? He basically should have said "What about your precious Bobby lads, you wouldn't want him dropping"

The money goes on the playing budget, clubs overheads, maintenance that was largely ignored with the previous regime. As for £10K per week players let’s hope we don’t go down that road I remember amongst your many moans that we were refusing to sign Matty Pearson who wanted too much, well he’s currently on the Donny bench kept out by our own Neill Byrne. Maybe our hierarchy do know what they’re doing.

He also importantly stated that Humps was told before signing that if he wants to be a left winger then to sign somewhere else. GA signed him as a striker and the player himself wants to play there to advance his career. GA also stated “we want him to do tricks and shoot from 20 yards, not 40 yards” hinting to wanting him as a striker and not a winger

I said that three weeks ago , if we compare squads of top six or 7 clubs , they are long standing in L1 and CC for many years
Huddersfield have had, get this …FORTY FOUR transfer windows in L1 or higher to assemble their squad , we have had TWO !

And probably spent 44 times more than we have.
Do they also not have issues around the stadium and maintenance. Giants are getting out, as there 4000 fans look lost sat with 6 seats each and i am sure i read the local council are not willing to help financially with any upgrades, leaving Town having to fund it.

Good, i hope it eats vastly into their finances.
Major structural failure would be nice.

Giants aren't getting out as such, Nagle wanted to own the whole stadium and Ken Davy of the Giants wants to leave to build a new stadium for the rugby league team, hes in the process of buying the Shay in Halifax so the Giants can play there until the stadium has been finished although that hasn't reached the build stage yet. Nagle is dealing with the refurb of Towns stadium and has plans for the land surrounding the stadium. They may just be below us right now inn league standing but in terms of infrastructure and ownership they are somewhat ahead of us in the long term.

My opinion is he's a good owner, buying the stadium and looking to develop the surrounding areas can only be good long term. Yes the club have gone backwards in the short term but they are a club that have a decent chance of becoming an established championship team again, the stadium has held up well and still looks modern despite being over thirty years old.

    Hang on!

In the thread about finance you blamed the fact that we don't own the ground as affecting us for 20 odd years and massively holding us back yet when Huddersfield own their ground it will potentially "eat vastly into their finances"?

    Make your mind up!

I think Towns ground is soulless. Preferred the old Leeds road stadium

Shape cooled it down almost immediately said it was too much a of risk. I imagine he has more clout with decision making then Gent.

The time before the lease needs to be renewed gives potential new owners a window to purchase the club and the stadium at the same time.

He’s just not a striker. Doesn’t hassle defenders. So easy to play against. You saw on Sat what a proper, wily, striker does. Mullin backing into them, leaving a bit in. Being a horrible bastard and causing panic. That’s what we need our striker to do - just as Cook did.

There was an issue with roof supporting metalwork a while back ….Their fans were asking what the scaffolding was about a few months back .

Without looking i'm guessing it was planned maintenance, a 30 year old stadium in the states is seen as coming to the end of its natural life span and these old structures need keeping up with. Remember when they got into the premier league, they had to spend £10 million for stuff like better media facilities and data cabling, stuff the average fan doesn't comprehend. I also remember visiting it during a site visit when i was at construction college, it only had three sides back then 1993.
